Tier 1 Games

Temecula TCG hub for Magic, Pokemon, One Piece and Lorcana singles, with late-night hours, prerelease events and PSA/BGS grading submissions.

Tier 1 Games is built around the tabletop crowd. The Madison Avenue storefront carries a wide spread of trading card games, from Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! to One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Super, Star Wars Unlimited, Final Fantasy and newer releases like Riftbound. Players come for sealed product and singles, and a well-stocked wall of sleeves, dice and deck boxes keeps the accessory side covered.

What sets this Temecula card shop apart is the organized-play calendar. The store posts a running event schedule with prereleases, release-day events and competitive Magic qualifiers, and it spans several games rather than just one. If you are chasing a new set on day one or want a competitive tournament close to home, this is the calendar to watch.

Collectors who care about value get a few useful services too. Tier 1 runs a buylist with cash offers across multiple games, takes pre-orders on upcoming product, and handles grading submissions to PSA and BGS. That makes it practical to buy, sell and slab in one stop instead of juggling mail-in services on your own.

The hours are long enough to fit around a workday: noon to 10PM on weekdays, 10AM to 10PM on Saturday and 10AM to 8PM on Sunday. Weekday afternoons tend to be the easiest time to browse singles, while evenings and weekends are when event tables fill up. Note that reviewers mention the store charges an hourly fee for open play at its tables, so ask at the counter before settling in for a long casual session.

Reviews are mixed on pricing, with some customers feeling sealed Pokemon runs above MSRP, while others praise friendly staff and the selection. With more than 250 Google reviews on record, it has a long track record with local players. Call ahead at 951-694-8437 or check the website's event page before making a special trip.
