Downtown Tracy game shop on W 11th St for Magic, Lorcana, One Piece, Digimon and Pokemon, with a big play space open until 10PM or later.
Duelers Guild moved out of the West Valley Mall and into a larger home on West 11th Street in downtown Tracy, and the new space gives it room to do more than sell packs. The shop's own tagline promises "epic quests, shiny loot, and highly suspicious dice rolls," which sums up the crowd: players who come to sit down and stay for a few hours rather than grab a box and leave.
The card lineup is built for players. Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, One Piece, Digimon and Flesh and Blood all have a place on the shelves, alongside Pokemon booster packs and singles. If you are building a deck, singles are the reason to come in — you can pull exactly the cards you need instead of chasing them through packs. For anyone searching for a Tracy card shop that treats competitive play seriously, this is the one to know.
The building is shared with Knight Life Entertainment, a laser tag and gel-blaster operation, and the two blend together in a way you will not find at most card shops. One visitor described getting a full tour from a staff member named Seth and a free round of laser tag on a first visit, just for stopping by to look around. That welcome-everyone attitude carries over to the card tables, where walk-ins are part of the normal flow.
The late schedule is a real advantage for anyone with a day job. Weekdays run 2PM to 10PM, Saturday stretches from 11AM to 11PM, and Sunday runs noon to 9PM, so an after-work game is easy to fit in. Organized play for several games rotates through the week, and since the calendar shifts with new set releases, call ahead or check the shop's site before planning around a specific event.
Bring a deck, or plan to build one from the singles case when you arrive.
