Born to Game

Born to Game is Dover's beloved gaming, comics, and collectibles shop with seating for 40+ players. They carry comics, TCGs, board games, and RPGs, hosting a full calendar of events including Pokémon, Magic, and D&D.

Born to Game has been serving Dover's gaming and collecting community with distinction, offering one of the most versatile hobby experiences in central Delaware. Located on South Red Haven Lane, the shop functions as a full-service local game store — stocking comics, trading card games, board games, role-playing games, and collectibles — while also serving as a community event hub with seating for more than 40 players.

The comics section at Born to Game is a standout feature, carrying new releases on Wednesday (the traditional new comic book day), ongoing subscriptions, back issues, and an extensive trade paperback and graphic novel library. Comic fans from across Kent County rely on Born to Game as their primary source for weekly issues and collected editions, and the shop's knowledgeable staff can recommend titles across all genres and publishers.

On the gaming side, Born to Game is a Wizards Play Network (WPN) authorized store for Magic: The Gathering, running regular drafts, Commander nights, and Standard events throughout the week. Pokémon League sessions and competitive events bring in younger players and their families, while the Dungeons & Dragons community uses the store's play space for campaigns and one-shots. Flesh and Blood and other newer card games also find a home in the event schedule.

The board game section covers everything from casual family titles to deep-strategy hobby games, and the RPG aisle is well-stocked with core rulebooks, supplements, dice, and accessories for popular systems including D&D, Pathfinder, and Call of Cthulhu.

The store's atmosphere is deliberately welcoming and inclusive. Born to Game staff take pride in creating a space where first-timers can learn the ropes without intimidation and veterans can connect with like-minded hobbyists. The play area accommodates everything from tournaments to relaxed casual games.

Born to Game also operates a second location in Middletown, testament to its success and the demand for quality hobby retail across central Delaware. Whether you are a comic reader, a card player, or a board game enthusiast, Born to Game has the product and community to satisfy your hobby needs.
