The Arlington Card Show opens 2027 at the Bob Duncan Center on Saturday, January 9, 2027, with more than a hundred vendor tables and hours running 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. January shows have a particular flavour worth planning around: collectors arrive with holiday gift money and holiday duplicates in equal measure, dealers restock after clearing inventory in December, and the trading floor is unusually active as a result.
Across 100-plus tables the coverage is close to complete. Pokemon leads — WOTC-era vintage in graded holders, modern chase cards, sealed booster boxes and elite trainer boxes, Japanese product, promos and long binder rows of playable singles. One Piece and Dragon Ball each occupy full sections. Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana and Riftbound all have dedicated dealers. On the sports side expect MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL singles from vintage through modern chrome and prizm, graded PSA, BGS and SGC material, sealed wax, and the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks and Stars inventory that always moves in this building — with January bringing playoff football and mid-season basketball and hockey demand. Mixed collectibles, toys, anime goods and memorabilia fill the rest, and hourly giveaways run all day.
The session runs six and a half hours, which is long enough to walk the room twice at an unhurried pace. The first ninety minutes are the most competitive for fresh material. The last hour is when vendors start proposing prices rather than defending them.
Admission is $5 at the door, and children 10 and under enter free. There is no separate VIP tier at the Bob Duncan Center editions, so everyone walks in together at 10:30 AM — a fairness regulars specifically appreciate. Tickets are available through the show's Treasure page or at the door.
The Bob Duncan Center is at 2800 South Center Street in Arlington, inside Vandergriff Park, with more than 400 free parking spaces surrounding the building. Access from I-20 and Highway 287 is simple, and the venue is roughly ten minutes from the entertainment district, AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field. South Cooper Street a mile west has as much food as anyone could need.
This edition works for everyone. Serious collectors get enough tables to comparison-shop graded cards properly. Families get an affordable, warm, indoor January Saturday with cosplay welcome and food on site. First-timers get a well-organized room staffed by local regulars rather than out-of-town circuit sellers. Traders get one of the more binder-friendly crowds in Texas, and January is the month to use it — everybody has duplicates from December.
Strategy: be there for the 10:30 AM open if you are chasing specific cards. Bring cash for pricing leverage and because a few smaller tables stay cash-only. Do a full reconnaissance lap and note prices before buying, because at this table count the same card routinely appears at three different asks. Bring your holiday duplicates in an organized binder. Keep something back for the hourly giveaways.
