Card Show by the Bay bills itself as Tampa Bay's largest sports card show, and the September edition backs that up with more than 100 dealer tables filling the ballroom at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park, 950 Lake Carillon Drive, St. Petersburg, FL 33716. The show runs Saturday, September 5 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday, September 6 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission is $2 and kids get in free — a price point that has stayed unchanged for years and is a big part of why this show draws the crowds it does on Labor Day weekend.
Parking is on site and plentiful.
Saturday morning is when the room is fullest and the best raw material moves first, so arrive near the 10:00 AM open if you are hunting rather than browsing. Sunday's earlier 9:00 AM start and shorter day tend to be quieter, and some dealers will negotiate more readily late Sunday as they think about packing out — if your priority is price rather than selection, that final couple of hours is the window.
