🃏 About This Event

Greatest American Sportscard Shows opens its 2027 season with a 220-table weekend at The Pavilion at John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, Missouri on Friday and Saturday, January 29 and 30, 2027. The winter Lee's Summit show is deliberately scheduled for AFC championship weekend, and in a Chiefs town that timing is everything — the room runs hot, football inventory dominates, and the atmosphere is closer to a sports bar than a trade show.

Two hundred twenty tables is the largest footprint G.A.S. brings to the Kansas City metro. NFL leads: Chiefs rookies, autographed patch cards, playoff-era inserts, and vintage Kansas City football going back decades. MLB fills a large section with Royals and Cardinals depth plus vintage Topps and Bowman runs and current prospect product. NBA prizm and optic, NHL, college, soccer, UFC and boxing all have dedicated tables. Graded slabs from PSA, BGS and SGC occupy dozens of cases. Raw vintage dealers work 1950s through 1980s material in collector grades. Trading card game vendors carry Pokemon sealed and singles, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana and Dragon Ball Z. Memorabilia dealers bring signed jerseys, helmets, photographs, game-used pieces, comics, bobbleheads and Funko Pops.

Hours are Friday, January 29 from noon to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, January 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Friday-Saturday configuration is unusual for this venue and it is intentional — it clears Sunday for the game. Friday afternoon is the dealers' day and the best window for serious buying; Saturday is the crowd day.

Admission is $5 daily or $8 for the weekend, paid at the door. Children 12 and under are admitted free. There is no separate VIP tier at the Lee's Summit shows — the same ticket gets everyone the same access. No advance purchase is necessary.

The Pavilion at John Knox Village is at 520 NW Murray Road in Lee's Summit, with a large free parking lot on site. The Pavilion is a single open hall on one level, which makes a 220-table room far easier to navigate than a partitioned convention space. G.A.S. publishes hotel discount codes for travelling dealers and collectors on their website. Lee's Summit has extensive dining along Chipman Road and NW Blue Parkway within a few minutes.

A show this size serves everyone, but it rewards preparation. Serious collectors and dealers should come Friday. Families and casual collectors will find Saturday more fun and more social, and $5 per person with free entry for kids keeps it affordable. First-timers should not be intimidated — 220 tables sounds like a lot, but the single-hall layout means you can see the whole room from the door.

Strategy: make one complete reconnaissance lap before spending anything, noting which tables carry your categories. Bring substantially more cash than you plan to spend, in mixed denominations. A written want list is essential at this scale. Negotiate bundles rather than single cards. Come back Saturday afternoon for anything you passed on Friday — the price will often have moved.

The full G.A.S. tour calendar, dealer table pricing and hotel discounts are published at gas-shows.com, and the promoter posts vendor announcements and floor updates on Facebook in the weeks beforehand.
