🃏 About This Event

Hobby Havoc is the biggest free-admission card show El Paso will host this summer, and it takes over the floor of the historic El Paso County Coliseum on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Organized by 915 Cards & Collectibles and presented by Reliable Financial Services, it is the follow-up to the sold-out Summer Bash that packed the same building in July, and the promoter has been open about wanting this one to be bigger. For Borderland collectors, a free-entry show inside a 6,000-seat arena floor is about as accessible as the hobby gets.

The floor is deliberately mixed rather than single-category. Sports dealers bring deep MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, and soccer inventory spanning vintage Topps, Bowman, Fleer, and Donruss through junk-wax monster boxes and modern Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select, Mosaic, Topps Chrome, and Bowman Draft. Because this is the Borderland, the Liga MX soccer, Canelo Alvarez boxing, and lucha libre memorabilia presence is far heavier than at a typical Texas show, and El Paso Chihuahuas, UTEP Miners, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and San Antonio Spurs inventory moves fast. TCG tables run Pokemon singles and sealed from vintage WOTC through current Scarlet & Violet and Japanese imports, plus Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, and Dragon Ball Z Fusion World. Locked cases hold PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC slabs, and the promoter has advertised inventory running from one-dollar bargain boxes all the way to two-thousand-dollar autographed pieces.

Hours are 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM Mountain Time, one day only. Admission is completely free, with no ticket or pre-registration required, and kids get in free as well. The one cost to plan for is parking: the Coliseum charges five dollars per vehicle and the event flyer specifies cash only, so bring a five-dollar bill separate from your collecting budget. Food and drinks are available on site.

The El Paso County Coliseum sits at 4100 East Paisano Drive, El Paso, TX 79905, just east of downtown and roughly ten minutes from both I-10 and El Paso International Airport. The building is climate-controlled, ADA-accessible, and has wide aisles with strong overhead lighting, which matters when you are inspecting centering and corners on a raw card before you buy it.

This one suits everybody. Families can browse without a ticket cost hanging over the visit, first-timers can take a lap and ask questions without pressure, casual collectors can dig bargain boxes, and serious buyers can work the graded cases. Fort Bliss families and Las Cruces collectors both make the drive for this promoter's shows.

Tips: take one full scouting lap before you spend anything, because pricing on the same card varies widely table to table. Bring cash for leverage even though most dealers now take Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal. Carry a written want list sorted by player, set, and TCG title, and bring penny sleeves, top loaders, and a hard case if you plan to trade. Organize anything you are bringing to sell before you arrive.
