🃏 About This Event

The first December date of the J & J All Stars Card Show fills Lyons Hall at Our Mother of Sorrows on Saturday, December 5, 2026, and for a great many Louisville families this show functions as holiday shopping. Promoter Jeff Meyrose's roughly 130-table floor is the largest recurring free-admission card show in the city, and the first Saturday in December is the date when dealers deliberately stock for gift buyers — sealed blasters and hanger boxes, complete factory sets, player lots, starter collections, single graded cards priced as presents, and cheap bulk that lets a kid fill a binder for the cost of a movie ticket.

December also produces the year's most motivated sellers. Dealers who want inventory converted to cash before year end are noticeably more negotiable, and the higher-end cases that sat untouched through the fall often carry softer numbers now. If you have been circling a specific slab all season, this is a reasonable weekend to make an offer.

The seasonal category mix is broad. College basketball is in full swing, and Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals hoops material trades briskly here — this is one of the few markets where college basketball cards genuinely rival the NFL for attention. Football is heading into the playoff push with rookie values fully established, the NBA and NHL are well underway, and baseball's offseason quiet means MLB vintage and modern alike are at their most affordable point of the year.

Across the floor, sports dealers carry MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, MMA, soccer and college in every era: pre-war tobacco and Goudey, 1950s and 1960s Topps and Bowman, 1970s and 1980s Topps, Fleer and Donruss, huge inexpensive 1990s junk-wax boxes, and modern Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select, Mosaic, Topps Chrome, Bowman Chrome and Bowman Draft. Premium tables carry Topps Dynasty, National Treasures, Flawless and Immaculate, with PSA, BGS, SGC and CGC graded slabs in locked cases at every tier. Muhammad Ali boxing memorabilia, Kentucky Derby and thoroughbred collectibles, Louisville Bats items and deep Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and Indianapolis Colts runs are Louisville staples. Trading card game vendors stock Pokémon singles and sealed from WOTC Base, Jungle, Fossil and Team Rocket through Scarlet and Violet plus Japanese exclusives, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece TCG, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Z Fusion World, Digimon and Star Wars Unlimited. Comics, Funko Pops, autographed memorabilia and supplies round out the tables.

This is a one-day show running 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Eastern. Admission is free for all ages with no VIP or early-entry option, and children enter free. Dealers routinely hand young collectors free packs, which makes this an excellent first show for a kid. Table reservations and vendor inquiries go to Jeff Meyrose at 317-504-8110 or through the J & J All Star Sportscards website.

Our Mother of Sorrows Lyons Hall is at 774 Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY 40217, in Germantown just south of the Highlands, minutes from I-65. The hall is climate-controlled, single-level and ADA-accessible, with free on-site and street parking.

Arrive at 9:00 AM, bring cash in mixed bills plus Venmo, Zelle and PayPal, and carry a want list sorted by sport, player and TCG set. Pack sleeves, top loaders and a hard case, and shop the gift tables early — they clear fastest in December.
