Tucked into the E2 shops at the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market, Myth and Magic is small, weekend-only, and punches well above its square footage. The whole appeal is the hunt: trading cards, collectible toys, comics and novelty pieces mixed together in a way that rewards patience. One customer summed up the experience as "lots of hidden gems, great pricing," which is about as accurate a two-line review as a booth like this can get.

What separates it from the surrounding stalls is the person behind the counter. Pete gets named specifically in nearly every review — "the absolute best and most genuine person ever" in one, "super nice, helpful and knowledgeable" in another. If you are new to collecting and want someone who will actually explain why one card is worth what it is, this is a low-pressure place to ask. Pricing runs competitive rather than optimistic, and the stock turns over enough that repeat visits are worthwhile; a regular called it the "best TCG/collectable shop in the flea market" and described the selection as up and coming, which fits a booth still building out its inventory.

Set expectations correctly and you will enjoy it. This is not a 3,000-square-foot store with a wall of sealed cases and a tournament room. It is a curated booth where the singles and the odd collectible are the point, and where the answer to "do you have X" is sometimes no. Ask anyway — Pete tends to know what has come through recently and what is coming.

Getting there: the market is at 1425 Tomoka Farms Road just off I-95, with free parking and an indoor, air-conditioned shops mall so you are not browsing in the heat. Myth and Magic runs Friday through Sunday, 9am to 5pm, and is closed Monday through Thursday along with the rest of the market — worth underlining, because a weekday trip is a wasted one. Early Friday is the quietest window and the best time to talk; Saturday midday is when the aisles fill. Cash and card are both straightforward here, and if you are combining stops, several other collectibles booths sit within the same building.
