North Star State Card Collecting
Minnesota's trading card community is as loyal and resilient as the fans who brave sub-zero temps to cheer on the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, and Wild. The Twin Cities metro anchors one of the strongest hobby scenes in the Upper Midwest, with a dense network of card shops that serve collectors across Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding suburbs.
Minnesota's deep hockey culture and passionate college sports scene — led by the Gophers and a loaded slate of Division I programs — give local card shops a unique inventory flavor you won't find in most states. The TCG community is equally robust, with some of the most active Pokémon leagues and Magic tournament circuits in the region.
From established stores with massive vintage inventories to newer shops riding the modern hobby wave, Minnesota's card scene combines Midwestern friendliness with serious collecting depth. Whether you're chasing a Kirby Puckett rookie, hunting Japanese Pokémon exclusives, or looking for a friendly Friday Night Magic scene, the North Star State delivers.
