23 Card Shops in New Jersey — Map, Hours & Reviews (2026)

Trading Cards in the Garden State

New Jersey sits at the crossroads of two of the biggest sports markets in the country — New York and Philadelphia — and the state's trading card scene benefits enormously from that geography. From Bergen County shops just minutes from Manhattan to South Jersey stores serving the Philly suburbs, NJ collectors have access to a density of card shops that rivals any state in the nation.

The state's divided sports loyalties — Giants vs. Eagles, Yankees vs. Phillies, Devils vs. Rangers vs. Flyers — create a uniquely passionate collector base that keeps demand high across every major sport. The Pokémon TCG community is equally strong, with official Play Stores, regular league nights, and some of the most dedicated Japanese card importers on the East Coast.

New Jersey's card shops run the gamut from 40-year-old institutions with vintage inventory dating to the Civil War era, to fast-growing multi-location chains that have opened a half-dozen stores in just a few years. Whether you're hunting for pre-war tobacco cards in North Jersey, cracking hobby boxes at the Shore, or attending a trade night in the South Jersey suburbs, the Garden State delivers one of the richest card collecting ecosystems in America.
