Middle Village's first dedicated card shop, running Pokemon and One Piece singles under market plus weekly Magic and Riftbound tables on 69th Street.
Middle Village went a long time without a card shop of its own. Chat TCG opened on 69th Street to fill that gap, and the reviews from the neighborhood read exactly like you would expect — relief, mostly, that nobody has to take the M into Ridgewood or drive out to Flushing to buy singles anymore. It is a newer storefront and it looks it: clean cases, product faced properly, and enough open floor to seat players rather than just move inventory.
Pricing is the first thing regulars bring up. Multiple reviewers describe pulling chase cards below market value, which is an unusual thing for customers to volunteer publicly, and suggests the shop is still building a base rather than squeezing it. Pokemon leads the singles selection, with One Piece sealed and singles right behind it and Magic stocked for the event crowd. Japanese product turns up as well, in line with what a modern Queens card shop needs to carry to stay relevant.
Organized play is a real part of the operation, not a sign in the window. The shop runs Friday Night Magic in Standard and hosts Riftbound constructed events, and it is listed in both the Wizards and Riftbound store locators — a small detail, but one that separates shops that actually sanction events from shops that merely have tables. If you are looking for a place to play in central Queens on a weeknight, this is a legitimate option.
Hours are generous and worth knowing precisely: 10:30AM to 7:30PM Monday through Friday, 10AM to 8PM Saturday, and 10AM to 7:30PM Sunday — open every day, with the longest stretch on Saturday. The 69th Street location sits between Middle Village and Glendale with reasonable residential street parking, and the M train at Metropolitan Avenue is walkable. Event nights fill the back of the shop, so daytime is better if you want the counter's full attention for a buy or trade.
