Sapphire Box
The box is 8 packs of 4 cards, every card on Sapphire Refractor stock, drawn from a 100-card base set and a 100-card prospect set. Topps states the autograph as roughly one per box on average rather than a hard guarantee, so a box can contain zero or two, and each box carries a handful of numbered color parallels. Topps.com sold the 2025 edition for about $450 in a timed online sale, and it listed at $1,200-$1,250 at the few dealers who resold it, with secondary sales at $1,100-$1,350 in August 2026. 2024 boxes sell for $750-$850 and 2023 boxes for $700-$950. Chase cards, parallels and hit rates
Every card is a Sapphire Refractor, and the numbered run mirrors regular Sapphire: Green Sapphire /99, Yellow /75, Gold /50, Orange /25, Black /10, Red /5 and the Superfractor 1/1, with autograph parallels on the same tiers. 2025 added image variations on select cards as a second chase. Chrome Sapphire ships direct from Topps.com in a small box with clear shrink and a Topps tamper seal, and it never comes through distributors, so any "case-fresh from my distributor" language is wrong on its face. The 4-card packs are thin and every card is Chrome, so weighing packs tells a searcher nothing, which is exactly why resealing is the main risk on a box that has traded above $700 for years: check for a factory seam, tight wrap, an uncut seal and a product code on the box that matches the year. Never buy loose Chrome Sapphire packs. A seller with sealed-product feedback and a clear seal photo is the minimum standard, and paying a little more to a shop with a return policy is reasonable at this price.
