Blaster Box
The blaster was the core Gallery format for the whole revival: 7 packs of 4 cards at a $19.99 to $24.99 Walmart price, with a retail parallel and a chance at autographs and Artist Proof cards. Walmart exclusivity meant no hobby distribution, so blasters were bought off the shelf and are the main sealed unit on the secondary market. The 2022 blaster (released the week of September 28, 2022) trades at $30-$55 in August 2026, the 2021 blaster at $35-$60, 2020 at $50-$90 and 2019 at $45-$80. The 2018 blaster, with Ohtani, Acuna, Soto and Torres painted rookies, is the flagship of the line at $90-$160, and the 2017 relaunch blaster (Judge and Bellinger) runs $60-$110.
Monster Box
For 2021 and 2022 Topps sold a Monster Box on topps.com: 20 packs of 5 cards with two autographs, roughly four inserts and seven parallels per box at a $69.99 price. It was the only Gallery format with a hit guarantee and had a short sales window, so it is scarce sealed; 2022 Monster Boxes trade at $120-$220 and 2021 Monster Boxes at $140-$250.
Blaster Case
Walmart blasters shipped in cases of 40 through distribution and occasionally surface as sealed cases from breakers and dealers who bought through Topps direct. Cases of the 2018 edition are the most sought-after and trade at a premium to 40 times the blaster price when they appear.

The 2018 blaster is the reason Gallery has a sealed market at all: the painted Ohtani and Acuna rookies are distinctive, the print run was retail-sized rather than flagship-sized, and Walmart-only distribution meant a lot of product was ripped by casual buyers. The 2022 blaster carries a modest final-edition premium and a rookie class (Rodriguez, Witt) that has proven out, so it is the best buy under $60. The 2020 blaster is thin on the shelf because pandemic-era retail was cleared by resellers, and the 2019 blaster with Guerrero and Tatis sits in the middle. The 2021 and 2022 Monster Boxes are the only two-auto Gallery boxes ever made, which gives them a separate collector base.
Chase cards, parallels and hit rates
The base set was 200 painted cards with a dozen parallel styles in the final years: Printer Proof, Rainbow Foil, Private Issue, then Green, Blue, Orange and Red in plain and Pattern versions, plus printing plates. Insert sets were art-themed and consistent across the revival: Masterstrokes, Modern Artists, Next Wave, Portrait Gallery, Gallery of Heroes short prints and Artist Proof stamped cards, along with image variations that swapped in alternate artwork. Hits were Gallery Autographs on the base design, Modern Artists and Masterstrokes autographs, and in some years artist sketch cards. Blasters had no guarantee, and the practical autograph rate was on the order of one per several blasters, so a case of 40 blasters produced a handful. The Monster Box's two autographs were the only guaranteed hits in the line's history.
Is Topps Gallery worth buying sealed?
Gallery is a niche hold with a clear thesis: painted rookies of the 2017-2022 star classes, a discontinued line, and a Walmart-only print run that was mostly opened. That thesis has already played out for 2018, and the remaining question is whether 2022 (Rodriguez, Witt, final edition) follows the same path from $30-$55. As a rip, blasters are a poor bet since most contain base cards and a parallel, and the Monster Box's two autographs were rarely worth the $70 price at launch and are certainly not worth $120-$250 now unless you value the format's scarcity. Buy 2022 and 2018 blasters sealed if you want Gallery exposure; skip 2021 unless it is cheap.
How to spot fakes and resealed boxes
Every Gallery blaster spent time in a Walmart aisle, which makes them a searched-box risk. Autograph packs are thicker, and the seven-pack blaster is easy to open, check and re-tape, so insist on factory shrink with a single machine seam on the bottom, no lifted flaps and no tape. Loose "unopened" packs from blasters are usually the leftovers of a searched box. Monster Boxes shipped from Topps in shrink with a lid seal; verify the seal and that 20 packs sit flush. Artist sketch cards and autographs sold as pulled should be on-card or on a Topps-stamped sticker with the Gallery foil; a painted card with a signature but no foil stamp is a print, not a hit.
