Reality Fracture reached stores on October 2, 2026, and the play booster display is the box most players and drafters buy first: 30 packs, each with a legendary card and an "Echoverse" alternate version of another card. This page is about that box, covering what is in it, what it costs against the per-pack price and how it compares with the other Reality Fracture products. The set as a whole is in our Reality Fracture guide.

| Release | October 2, 2026 (prerelease events from September 25) |
| Contents | 30 Play Boosters of 14 cards each (420 cards) |
| Every pack | A legendary card and an Echoverse alternate |
| Pack MSRP | $5.49, so $164.70 for 30 packs at full price |
Play Boosters are the pack Wizards of the Coast designs for both drafting and opening, so the display works as a draft box for a playgroup and as the cheapest per-card way into the set's rares.
The set's story has Jace Beleren building an alternate multiverse, the Echoverse, that threatens to replace the real one. On the cards that becomes Echoverse alternates: other-reality versions of characters and cards, one per pack. The story also brings a new school setting, Hexhaven, and color-swapped versions of familiar planeswalkers. The guaranteed legendary in every pack matters to Commander players, who make up much of the market for a set like this.
| Product | Where it stood on launch week |
|---|---|
| Play Booster Display (30 packs) | $152.79-$170.00 (eight listings) |
| 30 packs at MSRP | $164.70 |
| Collector Booster Display (12 packs) | From $418.99 |
Four days after release, most sellers are asking slightly under the sum of 30 packs at MSRP. That is the normal pattern for a new premier set: displays sell below MSRP while supply is at its peak, and drift from there depending on how the set plays and which cards turn out to matter. A display bought now is a bet on the set, not on scarcity.
| Product | MSRP | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Play Booster Display | $5.49 a pack | Drafting, opening for rares and legendaries |
| Collector Booster (12 per display) | $26.99 a pack | Extended art, foils and the rarest treatments |
| Bundle | $57.99 | 9 Play Boosters, 30 lands, a foil alt-art card and a storage box |
| Draft Night | $89.99 | 12 Play Boosters, 1 Collector Booster and 100 lands for a draft at home |
| Secret Lair Bundle | $89.99 | 6 Play Boosters, 2 Collector Boosters and 2 of 10 mythic Secret Lair cards |
| Commander deck | $49.99 | 100-card deck with 18 new cards |
For a draft group of eight, one display covers three packs each with six left over. For a collector after the rarest versions of the cards, the Collector Booster Display is the box, at roughly three times the price. The Play Booster Display is the better value per card and per legendary.
Launch week also shows how differently the two displays are priced. The play display is listed a little under its 30-pack MSRP. The Collector Booster Display, whose 12 packs total $323.88 at MSRP, was already listed from $418.99. Collector boxes carry the extended-art and rarest treatments, and early buyers pay for those first. The play display is where prices tend to sag in the first weeks.
A standard booster draft uses three packs per player. One 30-pack display covers:
Draft Night ($89.99) is built for four players at home, with 12 Play Boosters, a Collector Booster and 100 lands. For a group of eight or more, the display is the cheaper base. Prerelease kits are a separate product: six Play Boosters, a foil rare or mythic and a Spindown counter, sold through stores for their prerelease events.
Wizards also released five beginner Foundations Commander decks alongside the set, aimed at new players rather than drafters.
A first-print Play Booster display of a new set is rarely a strong hold in its first year. Wizards prints premier sets deeply, and displays tend to recover their MSRP only once the set leaves print and a handful of cards hold their price. If you want a sealed copy of the set, buy one when prices bottom out after the launch wave. Don't pay launch-week asks for a box you plan to keep closed.
Local game stores sell Play Booster displays at or near MSRP and run the prerelease and draft events. Wizards' store locator and our card shop directory list stores near you. Online, these searches keep Collector displays and single packs out:
