Edge of Eternities Collector Booster Display: Stellar Sights Lands, Sothera and the Price a Year On

Aug 2025from $749.501 sealed products

Edge of Eternities, Magic's science-fiction set, came out on August 1, 2025. Its collector booster display has done what few collector boxes do: it trades well above its MSRP more than a year later. The reason is a bonus sheet of borderless lands, Stellar Sights, with one in every collector booster. This page covers the display, why it held its value and what it asks now. The set and its other products are in our Edge of Eternities guide.

Fifteen cards with five at rare or above and most of the pack in foil is the standard modern collector booster. What makes this one different is the Stellar Sights slot.

Stellar Sights: why this box held up

Stellar Sights is a bonus sheet of 45 borderless lands, and every collector booster contains one. The sheet includes lands that Commander and Legacy players need and that are rarely reprinted: Ancient Tomb, Gemstone Caverns and Mana Confluence among them. A Galaxy Foil or collector-exclusive printing of one of those is worth a good share of a pack's price on its own. Because the slot is guaranteed, every pack has a real chance at a valuable card, which is unusual for a collector booster and the main reason the box's value did not collapse after release.

The top chase

The single most valuable card is Sothera, the Supervoid, in the textless Singularity Foil treatment, which has traded around $1,800. Galaxy Foil Stellar Sights lands follow, with the borderless Galaxy Foil Ancient Tomb around $386. The Headliner mythic falls in under 1% of boosters.

Like every collector box, most of the value is concentrated in a few cards. An average display still opens for less than its price, but less so than a typical collector box, thanks to the land slot.

What the treatments mean

  • Traditional foil: the standard foil finish. A collector booster carries 10 to 13 of them.
  • Galaxy Foil: a foil with a starfield pattern, up to three per pack. It is the finish that makes Stellar Sights lands expensive.
  • Singularity Foil: the rarest treatment in the set, used on the textless Sothera that tops the chase list.

Edge of Eternities was billed as Magic's science-fiction set, and the treatments follow the theme. For buyers, the finish matters more than the theme: the same card can be worth a few dollars as a traditional foil and many times that in Galaxy Foil.

Why these lands in particular

The Stellar Sights lands are cards that competitive and Commander players need in their decks. Ancient Tomb produces extra mana early in a game. Mana Confluence taps for any color. Gemstone Caverns helps the player going second. Cards like these are in constant demand and are reprinted rarely, which is why a premium version is worth real money. At $770 the display costs about $64 per pack, against a $24.99 MSRP, and the play booster display from $186.99 is the cheaper way to open the set without those collector slots.

The cheapest result under this product on eBay is a $38.99 acrylic display case made to fit the box, not the box. Ignore it. Sealed displays ask about two and a half times MSRP. The land slot is the main reason, and sealed supply of a set from 2025 only shrinks as boxes get opened.

Hold or open?

At $770 or more, opening a display means betting that your 12 Stellar Sights cards and the rares around them beat a price already set by the market for the box. That is not a good bet on average. The case for buying now is as a sealed hold: the land sheet gives the box lasting demand from players, not just collectors. The risk is a reprint of those lands in a later product, which would take away much of the premium. If you want particular lands, buying singles is the efficient route.

Checking a display before you buy

A display that has been opened to search packs will often show loose, cloudy or doubled wrap. Ask the seller for photos of all sides, and buy from stores with a record. Magic stores near you are in our card shop directory. On eBay, keep accessories out:
