2026 Bowman Football Mega Box: Mojo Refractors, 1st Bowman Cards and How It Compares

Sep 20261 sealed products

2026 Bowman Football is the first Bowman football since Topps regained the NFL license, and the first product to put licensed NFL rookies and licensed college prospects in the same pack. The mega box is the retail format with its own chase, Mojo Refractors that no other 2026 Bowman box carries. Here is the configuration, what is exclusive to it and how it compares with hobby, jumbo and value blaster. The full history is in our Bowman Football guide.

What only the mega box has

The mega box's reason to exist is the Mojo Refractor. These are Chrome base and prospect cards with a Mojo finish, sold only in this format. They come in numbered colors from Yellow Mojo (/275) down to a Rose Gold Mojo 1/1. Above them sits a mega-only FireFractor numbered to 3.

You can see what the exclusive looks like from the singles market already. Singles listed as mega-box Mojo Refractors include veterans such as Drake Maye, Caleb Williams and Keenan Allen, and prospects labelled "1st Bowman", among them numbered Blue (/150) and Teal (/199) versions.

What is in the product as a whole

2026 Bowman Football combines two checklists.

  • NFL: a 200-card base set, split evenly between veterans and rookies, in paper and Chrome versions.
  • College: a Bowman Prospects set of about 200 college players, also in paper and Chrome, under NCAA licensing.

The NFL rookie class is led by Fernando Mendoza, Jeremiyah Love and Carnell Tate. On the college side, prospects such as Arch Manning and CJ Carr get 1st Bowman cards years before they are drafted. That is the chase Bowman built its baseball business on, and this is the first time football has had it with licensed NFL cards in the same pack.

Inserts include Spotlights, Crystallized and Etched-In Glass, plus Anime and Garbage Pail Kids crossovers. The product also debuts the Bowman Red Rookie Redemption in football.

The numbered color parallels shared across formats run Yellow (/275), Pink (/250), Aqua (/199), Blue (/150), Green (/99), Purple (/75), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5) and Platinum 1/1. A mega box gets those as well as its own Mojos, so a numbered pull is likely in any given box. The Bowman Red Rookie Redemption is the novelty. It ties a card to a player's later career milestones, with rewards paid in Fanatics FanCash. 2026 is its first appearance in football.

Why the college side matters for this box

Football collectors have bought college cards before, but not inside the same licensed product as NFL rookies. For a mega box buyer that means two chases in every pack: an NFL rookie Mojo with a known draft position and a playing role, or a college 1st Bowman whose value depends on a career that has not started. The first behaves like a normal rookie card. The second behaves like Bowman baseball prospects, with large swings either way.

Mega, hobby, jumbo or blaster?

FormatPacks x cardsBoxes per caseBuy it for
Hobby20 x 812Autographs and the full parallel run
Jumbo12 x 248Volume and more autograph chances per box
Mega (this page)6 x 720Mojo Refractors and FireFractors
Value blaster6 x 1040The cheapest way to build the paper base
Breaker's Delight1 x 106Concentrated hits for group breaks

If you want an autograph, the hobby and jumbo boxes are the better buy, because the mega box is built around its parallels rather than signatures. If you want one shot at a numbered Mojo of a top rookie or a college quarterback, the mega is the only box that has them.

Price so far

A week after release, our cached listings for this product held Mojo singles pulled from mega boxes, not sealed boxes, so there is no settled sealed price yet. The $99.95 presale price is the reference point. Our expectation, not a forecast: first-run mega boxes of a relaunched brand often sell above presale while the exclusive is new, then settle as retail restocks. Topps has given no sign of a short print run.

Buying one

Mega boxes are sold through retail and some hobby shops. Retail megas get resealed, so check for factory wrap with clean folded seams and no tape. In the first weeks, also watch for listings that are Bowman University or Bowman Chrome University: earlier college-only products that look similar and are already on the market. Local shops that took 2026 Bowman allocations are the safest source at launch. To keep singles out of an eBay search, use:
