Veteran-owned Fredericksburg collectibles shop pairing Hot Wheels with Pokemon, One Piece and NFL/NBA cards, plus Monday Pokemon tournaments.
Diecast collectors found House of Cars Virginia first, and card collectors followed. The veteran-owned shop in the Plank Road strip near Central Park bills itself as the largest diecast store on the East Coast, and the Hot Wheels, Mini GT and Kaido House shelves back that up. Over the past few years the owner has carved out a serious trading card section, and the store now hosts one of the more active tournament scenes among Fredericksburg card shop options.
Pokemon is the anchor. Sealed product, singles and an in-store Pokemon tournament every Monday night draw a steady crowd, and the shop has thrown release-night block parties where fans camped out for a new set drop. One Piece TCG tournaments run every Saturday, and Magic: The Gathering and Flesh and Blood product share the wall. On the sports side there are separate NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB card sections, mostly modern hobby and retail boxes plus sleeves, toploaders and display cases.
The shop buys Pokemon, diecast and Funko collections for cash and runs a consignment program, which means the singles cases turn over constantly. An online storefront mirrors much of the inventory and ships worldwide, but tournament entry and the best chase-car finds are in-person only.
Hours are 11AM to 7PM Monday through Thursday, 10AM to 8PM Friday and Saturday, and 10AM to 6PM Sunday. Suite R1 sits in the same plaza as several restaurants, so parking is plentiful but fills on Saturday afternoons when the One Piece crowd arrives. Reviewers consistently call out the owner for being honest and fair on buy offers, a point that matters when you are selling Pokemon cards in Fredericksburg. Check the Facebook page for pre-release events and Hot Wheels case-drop announcements, and fill out the tournament interest form on the website if you want a seat reserved.
