High Point Road shop built for Packers, Brewers and Bucks collectors, with Pokemon and One Piece cases and a buy counter Madison sellers rate highly.
West Madison went a long stretch without a dedicated card shop, and Slab Factory's High Point Road location closed that gap when it opened as the Eau Claire original's second store. The reaction from the neighborhood was immediate — the phrase 'finally a place to shop cards on the west side' shows up almost verbatim in review after review.
Sports is the core. Packers, Brewers and Bucks inventory gets front-of-house treatment, spanning raw singles, graded slabs and sealed sports product across football, baseball, basketball and hockey. The TCG side is not an afterthought either: Pokemon, One Piece, Disney Lorcana and Union Arena all have their own case space, which makes this one of the few Madison card shop stops where a sports collector and a TCG player can both leave satisfied.
The buy counter is where the store's reputation was built. Sellers consistently describe walking in with a small collection and leaving with an offer they considered generous rather than opportunistic, plus an explanation of how the number was reached. Staff knowledge gets called out as often as pricing does, and the room itself is clean and organized enough that browsing doesn't feel like archaeology.
Timing matters here more than at most shops. Monday is a short day — 3PM to 7PM only — Tuesday through Friday open at noon, Saturday runs 11AM to 7PM and Sunday closes early at 6PM. That Saturday block is the busiest and the best for talking to staff at length. The strip-mall location off High Point has easy surface parking, and the shop's site lists current inventory and any break or event schedule. If you collect Wisconsin sports and haven't been in yet, this is the correction to make.
