Brady Street's newest one-stop for Pokemon, sports singles, and Funko Pops, packed into a tight east-side storefront steps from Lakefront.
Nexgen Cards landed on Brady Street in 2024 and quickly became one of the busier walk-in shops on Milwaukee's lower east side. The storefront sits at 1432 E Brady, tucked between cafes and record stores, and the room itself is narrow but stocked floor-to-shelf with sealed Pokemon product, sports wax, and a rotating wall of Funko Pops.
The focus is buy/sell/trade rather than league play — collectors stop in to grade their pulls, flip Charizards, and dig through slab cases for raw vintage sports. The owners run live breaks regularly and post pulls on socials, so the inventory cycles fast. Expect strong representation across modern Pokemon sets, NBA and NFL wax, and a small but growing supply of one-of-one autograph hits behind the counter.
For anyone hunting Pokemon cards Milwaukee shops are increasingly competitive on, Nexgen tends to price modern singles within a few percent of TCGplayer and will negotiate on bulk. Bring graded slabs and they'll make a same-visit cash offer; bring binders of commons and you'll get store credit at a fair rate. PSA submission drop-off is handled in-store on a rolling basis.
Brady Street parking is metered street parking — easiest after 6pm or on Sundays. The shop stays open until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, which makes it one of the only late-night options for the Milwaukee card shop scene. Weekend afternoons get crowded, so weekday evenings are the better window for slow browsing.
