A Card Set Built Around One City: Philly 4 for 4 Drops Friday With an Iverson, Vick or Rollins Auto in Every Case

Choice Insignia and Immortals put the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers and Flyers in one box with an autograph guaranteed. Why the regional-product model works, who signed, and why this box means more in Delaware County than anywhere else.

Most card products are built around a sport or a league. This one is built around a city. 2026 Choice Insignia x Immortals Philly 4 for 4 releases Friday, September 18, and it is exactly what the name suggests: a box of Philadelphia sports across all four major teams, with an autograph in every box and a guaranteed Allen Iverson, Michael Vick or Jimmy Rollins signature in every case. It is a small product from a small manufacturer, and it is one of the more interesting ideas to hit the hobby this fall.

What is in the box

Each box is a single 20-card pack. You get one Philly 4 for 4 autographed card, one card that is either an unclaimed autograph or a base card, one foil parallel numbered card, one Champion foil card and 16 base cards. Cases are 12 boxes, and every case carries one of the three headline autographs.

The signer list reads like a Philly sports bar wall: Allen Iverson, Brian Dawkins, Jimmy Rollins, Cole Hamels, Eric Allen, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Brandon Graham, Jayson Werth, Dick Vermeil and Merrill Reese, the longtime Eagles radio voice. The base checklist covers the current era and the legends together: Jalen Hurts, Tyrese Maxey, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Eric Lindros, Julius Erving, Wilt Chamberlain, Reggie White and Bobby Clarke among them.

Why a city set is a smart product

The big licensed manufacturers cannot easily make this. A Topps or Panini product is built on a league license, so putting an Eagles player, a Phillies player, a Sixers player and a Flyers player in the same box requires four separate deals and four separate approval processes. Choice, working with Immortals, sidesteps that by signing athletes directly and building the product around the athletes rather than the team marks. That is the same model that lets Leaf put Chuck Norris in a sports card set.

What the model gives up in logos, it gets back in focus. A Philadelphia collector does not need a 400-card base set with 30 teams in it. They need Dawkins, Utley, Iverson and Clarke in one place, and they need an autograph they will actually keep rather than trade away.

Where these products sell

Regional products live and die at local shops and local shows. A Philly 4 for 4 box in a Seattle shop is a curiosity. The same box in a Delaware County shop is a Friday sellout. If you are a shop owner in the Philadelphia area, this is a product to order deep and display up front. If you are a collector outside the region, the singles will be cheaper online in three weeks than the box is on Friday.

What to watch for

  • Print run. Choice does not disclose it, and small-manufacturer products can be extremely limited. The case-hit structure suggests a run measured in hundreds of cases, not thousands.
  • The unclaimed auto slot. One card per box is either an unclaimed autograph or a base card. That is a coin flip on a second signature and it is the slot that will decide whether a box feels like a hit or a dud.
  • Merrill Reese. A radio announcer autograph is a genuinely unusual chase, and for Eagles fans of a certain age it may be the most desirable signature in the product.
  • Resale. Regional autograph products do not have deep comps. Price your pulls against what Philadelphia collectors will pay, not against a national market that does not exist for these cards.
If you are in the Philadelphia area, use our directory to find a card shop near you and ask if they are getting Philly 4 for 4 on Friday. Shops in the region are the only place this product is guaranteed to be on the shelf.
