The Antelope Valley's biggest card-and-comic floor at 5,000 sq ft, packing sports cards, Pokemon, Magic and a full gaming room into Lancaster.
At better than 5,000 square feet, Bases Cards and Comics is the heavyweight of the Antelope Valley scene and easily the largest Lancaster card shop for collectors who want everything under one roof. The 12th Street West location splits its floor between a deep retail front and a dedicated gaming room in back, so a Saturday browse can turn into a few hours without anyone noticing.
The inventory genuinely spans the hobby. Sports-card buyers dig through boxes of baseball, basketball, and football; TCG players come for Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon cards Lancaster locals hunt for in both singles and sealed; and there's a serious comics and graphic-novel wall with a free pull-box program that nets regulars 15% off plus a board and bag every week. Warhammer and other miniatures round out the shelves.
The back gaming room is the heartbeat of the place. The weekly calendar runs Friday Night Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, HeroClix, Vanguard, and Warhammer, and casual play is welcome whenever the doors are open. That community programming is a big reason the shop draws collectors from across the Valley rather than just the neighborhood.
Hours are collector-friendly: ten to six early in the week, with later Thursday and Friday closes at eight and nine for after-work and tournament traffic, plus weekend daytime hours. Come early if you want elbow room at the singles boxes; come Friday night if you want the full clubhouse experience.
