North Long Beach TCG hangout heavy on Pokemon and One Piece, with locals-only energy and a back wall of binders for singles hunting.
Junkyard Cards lives in a North Long Beach strip plaza off South Street, and once you find the right suite the place reads as a proper neighborhood card shop. The retail footprint is compact — sealed product up front, a long counter with the chase singles under glass, and binders of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, and Bandai singles within reach of the play tables in back.
Pokemon is the headline. Junkyard keeps a deep run of Pokemon singles in binder, rotating from the current Scarlet & Violet block back through Sword & Shield and older Sun & Moon staples, with Japanese Pokemon product in the cases too. One Piece has grown into a second pillar here — the shop pulled in early on the One Piece TCG and built a real community around it.
The vibe is locals-first. Staff and regulars know each other by name, but the welcome to new collectors is genuine — you can walk in cold, ask for help building a Pokemon deck or chasing a specific MTG single, and get straight answers. It's the kind of Long Beach card shop where the conversation matters as much as the inventory.
Hours are seven days a week with a Tuesday close, and the shop pulls steady traffic evenings and weekends. Parking in the plaza is easy, and the shop is a short hop off the 91 if you're coming from Bellflower or Compton.
