Hyper Beam TCG Gaming is a Los Angeles card shop on San Pedro Street known for deep Yu-Gi-Oh! stock, Pokemon boxes, and a welcoming trade counter.
South LA finally has a real Yu-Gi-Oh! headquarters. Hyper Beam TCG Gaming has been quietly building a following since 2019 out of its storefront on San Pedro Street, where narrow aisles of sleeves and deck boxes give way to a back counter stacked with Duelist Nexus displays, structure decks, and staple singles pulled fresh from case breaks. It is one of the few dedicated Los Angeles card shops where a Yu-Gi-Oh player can walk in and actually find tournament staples on the shelf rather than special-order them.
Pokemon has become a growing second act here, with sealed booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, and a rotating singles case that the staff restocks after big pulls come through trade-ins. The shop leans into a buy-sell-trade model, so regulars treat it as a place to offload a binder as much as build one, and the counter staff have a reputation for fair, no-haggle offers on modern cardboard.
The space itself is compact but efficient, with a couple of tables set up for casual play and locals League nights that draw a mix of teenagers and long-time duelists who remember the shop from its early pop-up days. Tournament nights tend to fill the small floor fast, so arriving right at open is the move if you want a table.
Hours run Tuesday through Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM, with Mondays closed for restocking. Street parking along San Pedro is easy to find outside of event nights. For anyone chasing Yu-Gi-Oh! singles or newer Pokemon product on this side of the city, it remains one of the more consistent Los Angeles card shops for actual walk-in inventory rather than online-only listings.
