BearCave CCG

Northridge's clean, roomy game store for Pokemon, MTG, Lorcana, One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh!, with comfy play tables and regular events on Reseda.

Ask San Fernando Valley players where to sit down and play, and BearCave CCG on Reseda Boulevard comes up often. Regulars mention clean tables, comfortable chairs and enough room to spread out a Commander game or a Pokemon league match. The shop recommends itself to new players by keeping supplies like sleeves at fair prices, so you can get everything in one trip.

The game list is broad: Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana, One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh! all have shelf space, along with board games, figures and some comics. Events run regularly for each supported game, and the shop keeps a Discord community for schedules and trading. Anyone after Pokemon cards in Northridge can find loose packs here, and parents in the reviews appreciate that the packs aren't searched before they're sold.

Staff knowledge comes up again and again. Reviewers say the team is happy to talk through any product, whether it's a starter deck for a first-time Lorcana player or a sealed Pokemon set for a longtime collector. Even novice collectors and gamers say they feel welcome asking basic questions, which makes this a comfortable first stop for families new to the hobby.

One recent review tells that story: a kid buying loose Twilight Masquerade and Scarlet & Violet 151 packs pulled a full-art Greninja ex and a full-art Charizard ex. The parent credited the store's integrity. Tyler and Bill are named as staff to ask for.

The hours are easy to remember: noon to 8PM every day, so evening play works on weeknights and weekends. Singles are also sold through the shop's website if you want to check stock before driving over.

BearCave is on Reseda Boulevard close to Cal State Northridge, so it draws students as well as families. It's an easy recommendation for a Valley card shop that puts play space first.
