Paper Hero's Comics has built a loyal Santa Clarita following by doing the comic-shop-plus-card-shop hybrid right — the comics half is curated, the card half is taken seriously, and the events calendar pulls steady crowds. The shop sits on Bouquet Canyon Rd in Saugus, in a strip with easy parking, and the inside is split cleanly between long boxes of comics on one side and a TCG section on the other.

For card players, the headline is the event slate. Pokemon League nights, Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic locals, and Dragon Ball Super TCG tournaments run on a rotating weekly schedule. The shop is one of the few in the SCV that actively supports Dragon Ball Super, which has built a small but dedicated tournament scene that travels here from across the valley. Singles binders cover the major modern sets; sealed Pokemon ETBs and booster boxes are stocked through release weekends.

The comics side is what makes the visit double-duty. Current pulls are subscription-friendly, and the back wall holds graded keys plus a respectable run of bronze and modern collectible issues. Board games, miniatures, and pen-and-paper RPG supplies fill out the rest of the floor, so a single stop can cover a Pokemon binder hunt, a new D&D module, and the latest Image release.

Visit-timing tip: the shop is open seven days a week, with longer evening hours Thursday through Saturday to accommodate tournament play. Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest, especially around new Pokemon or Magic set launches. Bouquet Canyon parking is plentiful and there's a coffee shop two doors down.
