Yu-Gi-Oh tournament powerhouse in northeast Denver stocking Pokemon and Magic singles, sealed boxes, and Funko — with room for 150 duelists at once.

Born out of a love for Yu-Gi-Oh, Rocky Mountain Collectibles opened in November 2019 and quickly turned its Montbello-area storefront into one of the busiest dueling floors in the region. The 3,800-square-foot space off Joliet Street in northeast Denver can seat 150 players at a time, and Konami took notice — the shop is an Official Tournament Store and was spotlighted as a national Featured OTS in fall 2021.

Yu-Gi-Oh drives the calendar, with advanced format and speed duel events running throughout the week plus remote duel tournaments for players who battle from home. But the counter cases cover more than one game: Pokemon cards keep Denver trainers stocked with singles and sealed product, Magic: The Gathering gets its own shelf space, and an entire wall of Funko Pops pulls in collectors who have never sleeved a deck. The shop also buys and trades, so it's a practical stop for thinning out a binder.

Community is the calling card. Regulars describe friendly staff, tournaments every day of the week, and a player base that welcomes newcomers — the shop has even hosted charity gaming expos and charity Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments for local causes. For a first visit, a weekday afternoon gives you the run of the cases; show up on a big tournament day and expect the duel hall humming at capacity.

Location-wise it sits just off I-70 near the airport corridor, an easy detour for anyone in Green Valley Ranch, Montbello, or east Denver, with long daily hours from mid-morning to 9pm. Call ahead to confirm the day's event schedule and entry fees before making the drive for competitive play.
