Teen-founded Thornton shop stacking Panini and Topps hobby boxes with Pokemon, plus monthly raffles, trade nights and a November turkey giveaway.
An 18-year-old opening a brick-and-mortar card store is rare enough to be a story on its own, but Regimes Sports Cards and Collectibles has earned its spot on East 120th Avenue the ordinary way: showing up, stocking product and building a community around the counter since opening in 2025.
Sports cards are the specialty. Panini and Topps hobby boxes anchor the wall, with football and baseball singles, signed memorabilia and graded cards filling the cases, and a Pokemon section keeping the TCG crowd covered. The shop also handles card appraisals and takes in grading submissions, useful for collectors sitting on raw hits and wondering what deserves a slab.
The community calendar is where this young Thornton card shop overdelivers. Monthly raffle prizes give regulars a reason to swing back through, monthly trade nights fill the shop with binders, and every November the store runs a turkey and hot meal giveaway for the neighborhood — not the usual programming from a hobby store in its first years. Reviews describe a fun layout and a genuinely friendly welcome, the kind of reception that keeps first-timers coming back.
Hours run 10AM to 6PM Monday through Thursday, stretching to 8PM on Friday and Saturday, with Sundays closed. The storefront shares the 3981 E 120th Ave address plaza just east of Colorado Boulevard, with parking out front. If you collect sports cards in Thornton and want a shop where the owner knows your PC, this is the one to bookmark.
