About This Event

The October Bridgeview Community Center Sports Card Show runs Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and this date is listed as free entry — no door charge at all. Bridgeview's monthly show usually runs a nominal dollar admission, so a free date removes even that small friction. If you have been meaning to try a card show and never quite got around to it, there is now literally nothing standing between you and the room.

October is a good month to be in this particular room. Baseball season is wrapping, football and basketball are underway, and hockey is starting — which means dealers are actively rotating inventory across all four sports at once, and collectors are shopping across categories rather than fixating on one. Expect fresher boxes than at a midsummer date.

The floor is sports cards, full stop. Baseball anchors it: vintage Topps and Bowman going back to the 1950s, complete and partial sets, junk-wax-era boxes, and modern Topps and Bowman product. White Sox material is unusually deep here — the south suburbs are Sox country, and Bridgeview dealers stock accordingly — with Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks all well represented too. Football and basketball tables carry star rookies, inserts and numbered parallels; hockey picks up as the season starts. Graded slabs from PSA, SGC and BGS sit in locked showcases. But Bridgeview's identity is raw volume: dime boxes, quarter boxes, dollar boxes and top-loadered stars, priced to move. Expect additional tables with unopened wax, autographed baseballs and footballs, memorabilia and card supplies, plus a few carrying Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!

A four-hour window means the show has a distinct arc: full at 11:00 AM, peak around noon, and softening after 2:00 PM when dealers would rather sell than repack. Hunters should come at open. Bargainers should come late. There is no VIP tier or early entry, so everyone starts even.

The community center is at 7900 S Oketo Ave in Bridgeview, with free parking in its own lot, level entry and accessible restrooms. It is a short drive from I-294, Harlem Avenue and 79th Street, pulling from Burbank, Oak Lawn, Justice, Hickory Hills, Palos Hills and the Clearing and Garfield Ridge neighborhoods.

Who should come: families and first-timers, given free entry and dollar-box pricing that lets a kid buy a real stack of cards for pocket money. Set builders and vintage diggers get one of the better raw floors in the south suburbs. Casual collectors will find most of the room priced well under fifty dollars a card. Serious buyers should ask what dealers are keeping behind the table.

Bring cash in small bills — dollar-box traffic runs on ones and fives, and several tables remain cash-only. Carry penny sleeves, top loaders and a small box for pickups, plus a written want list. Arrive at 11:00 AM. The show repeats monthly, with the next Bridgeview dates falling in November and December.
