The November Bridgeview Community Center Sports Card Show runs Sunday, November 8, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at a one-dollar door price. November is the sleeper month on the Chicago card calendar. The weather has turned, outdoor plans have evaporated, football and basketball are in full swing, hockey is heating up, and holiday shopping has not started eating budgets yet. Dealers know this and bring real inventory to November dates.
Bridgeview's monthly show is a south-side institution. The same dealers set up in roughly the same spots each month, the same collectors work the same boxes, and the pricing stays grounded because everyone in the room expects to see each other again in four weeks. That continuity is worth more than it sounds — it is why a dollar-box card at Bridgeview is actually a dollar and not a negotiation.
The floor is sports cards, front to back. Baseball anchors it, with vintage Topps and Bowman going back into the 1950s, complete and partial sets, and enormous junk-wax-era volume. White Sox material runs deeper here than at north-side shows — the south suburbs are Sox country — with Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks all well represented. Football and basketball tables carry star rookies, inserts and numbered modern parallels, both categories peaking in interest at this point in the calendar. Hockey builds through November as the Blackhawks season develops. Graded slabs from PSA, SGC and BGS sit in locked showcases, but Bridgeview's identity is raw volume at accessible prices: dime boxes, quarter boxes, dollar boxes and top-loadered stars. Additional tables carry unopened wax, autographed baseballs and footballs, memorabilia and card supplies, plus a few handling Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!
Admission is $1, with children generally admitted free alongside a paying adult — confirm at the door. There is no VIP tier, no advance ticket and no early entry. Parking is free in the community center's own lot at 7900 S Oketo Ave, and the building is single-level with level entry and accessible restrooms. It is a short drive from I-294, Harlem Avenue and 79th Street, drawing from Burbank, Oak Lawn, Justice, Hickory Hills, Palos Hills and the Clearing and Garfield Ridge neighborhoods of Chicago.
A four-hour window gives the show a clear arc: full at 11:00 AM, peak around noon, softening after 2:00 PM as dealers face teardown. Hunters come at open; bargainers come late.
Who should come: families and first-timers, because a dollar at the door and dollar boxes on the tables mean a kid can walk out happy for five dollars. Set builders and vintage diggers get one of the better raw floors in the south suburbs. Casual collectors will find most of the room well under fifty dollars a card. Serious buyers should ask what dealers are keeping behind the table.
November is also a good month to think about holiday gifts — a graded rookie of a favorite player or a sealed wax box makes a better present than most things in a mall. Bring cash in small bills, penny sleeves, top loaders, a small box and a written want list. Arrive at 11:00 AM. The December Bridgeview date follows on the 13th.
