Arlington opens Labor Day weekend the way the local hobby likes it best — with a free Friday night at the Meadowbrook Recreation Center. The Funky Town Card Show sets up on September 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and the timing is the whole point: while the rest of the Metroplex is fighting holiday-weekend traffic, Arlington collectors get four unhurried hours of tables, trades and conversation about ten minutes from downtown.
Hours are a single evening block, Friday 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The 6:00 to 7:00 PM window is when serious buyers work the room for freshly restocked cases.
Admission is free, with no ticket, registration or door line, and parking on site is free as well.
Meadowbrook Recreation Center sits at 1400 Dugan Street in central Arlington, just south of East Abram Street. It is a short hop from Highway 360, I-30 and Division Street, which keeps the drive simple from Mansfield, Grand Prairie, Hurst and Kennedale.
Families do well here because free entry plus dollar boxes means a child can leave happy for five dollars.
