The Johnson County Card Show expands to two days for Thanksgiving weekend at the Homefield Olathe Training Center on Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29, 2026. Thanksgiving weekend is the single busiest card show weekend of the year across most of the country, and the Shake and Bake Sports Cards team schedules their largest fall footprint accordingly. Out-of-town collectors home for the holiday, family groups looking for something to do, and dealers chasing holiday buyers all converge on the same room.
Expect the widest inventory the series carries. Sports tables run MLB from vintage Topps and Bowman through current prospects, NFL deep in Chiefs season material with rookies, autographs and patch cards, NBA prizm and optic, NHL, college and soccer. Graded slabs from PSA, BGS and SGC occupy multiple cases. Raw vintage dealers bring 1960s through 1980s baseball and football, complete sets and unopened wax. Saturday, November 28 runs 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29 runs 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend is typically the highest-traffic single day of the show's year, so plan to arrive at opening if selection matters more to you than price. Sunday afternoon is the softest pricing window of the weekend.
Admission is free on both days for everyone, including children. No tickets, no VIP tier, no advance registration. Walk in during open hours either day.
Homefield Olathe Training Center sits in Olathe, Kansas with a large free surface lot directly outside. The facility is single-level with wide aisles, good lighting and accessible restrooms, and it absorbs holiday-weekend crowds better than a hotel ballroom would. Olathe's 119th Street restaurant corridor is minutes away, which matters on a weekend when the room stays busy through lunch.
