🃏 About This Event

The December New Mexico Card Show closes out the 2026 hobby calendar at Expo New Mexico on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6. This is the holiday-shopping edition, and it plays very differently from the show's summer and fall stagings. Dealers stock with gifting in mind, which means far more mid-priced graded rookies, sealed blasters and hanger boxes, complete team sets, and starter-friendly Pokémon and Magic product than you will see at a midsummer show. If you have a collector on your list and no idea what to buy them, one lap around this room solves it faster than any big-box toy aisle.

Expect the full breadth of the hobby under one roof. Sports dealers bring MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, boxing, MMA, and soccer inventory spanning pre-war tobacco issues, 1950s and 1960s Topps and Bowman, 1980s Fleer and Donruss, the 1990s insert boom, and current Panini Prizm, Select, Mosaic, Donruss Optic, Topps Chrome, and premium Topps Dynasty and National Treasures. December timing means NFL playoff races and the opening months of the NBA and NHL seasons are driving what moves — expect strong action on rookie quarterbacks, NBA first-year cards, and New Mexico Lobos and Albuquerque Isotopes regional inventory. Trading card game tables cover Pokémon from vintage WOTC through current Scarlet and Violet sets and Japanese exclusives, Magic: The Gathering Commander and Standard, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Z Fusion World, Riftbound, Star Wars Unlimited, and Flesh and Blood. Cases hold PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC slabs beside autographed memorabilia, vintage comics, Funko Pops, and supplies.

Hours follow the operator's standing format: Saturday, December 5 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time and Sunday, December 6 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time, with vendor load-in Friday evening and tear-down after Sunday's close. The New Mexico Card Show has run free public admission all year and the December date is expected to match, but the operator had not published the December flyer when this listing was written — confirm hours and admission at newmexicocardshow.com before you drive in. Expo New Mexico charges separately for fairgrounds parking regardless.

The show is at 300 San Pedro Drive NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, in the Manuel Lujan Jr. Exhibit Complex. Use Gate 3 at San Pedro and Copper for the shortest walk. From Interstate 40 take the San Mateo or Louisiana exit. The hall is heated and ADA-accessible, which matters in December when Albuquerque mornings sit near freezing — dress in layers you can shed once you are inside.

Bring the family. This is a genuinely good outing for kids, who can dig through dollar boxes and quarter bins while adults work the cases, and the free-admission format means nobody pays to browse. Serious buyers should arrive at open on Saturday for first look at fresh inventory and return Sunday afternoon for the deepest discounts, since almost every dealer would rather sell a box than repack it. Bring cash, a want list, penny sleeves and top loaders, and a hard-sided case for slabs. Reach the organizer at [email protected], or follow @newmexicocardshow on Instagram and Facebook for vendor announcements as the date approaches.
