🃏 About This Event

The Sports Cards & Collectible Show fills American Legion Post 230 in Martinsville on Sunday, October 25, 2026, and the late-October date has a particular character. Basketball season is days away, which in Morgan County means something — this is Indiana high school basketball heartland, and the vintage hoops material that surfaces at this show in October is genuinely difficult to find anywhere else in the state at these prices. Add football in full swing and the last of the fall collection cleanouts, and the boxes tend to be fuller than usual.

Baseball still leads by volume, with monster boxes of 1960s through 1980s Topps plus Bowman, Fleer, Donruss and Score, and the regional and food-issue oddballs that larger metro shows almost never surface. Basketball is the standout category in late October: vintage Pacers, IU, Purdue and Butler material, Indiana high school programs and memorabilia, and modern Prizm, Optic, Select and Donruss rookies. Football brings Colts inventory, vintage NFL and Notre Dame product. Hockey, soccer, UFC, boxing and racing appear in smaller quantity but at fair prices. Trading card game tables cover Pokemon most reliably, with Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! regularly present. Graded slabs from PSA, SGC, BGS and CGC sit in locked cases. Comics, coins, autographed memorabilia, Funko Pops and hobby supplies fill the remaining tables, and the discount bins remain the genuine article — dollar and quarter boxes that have not been picked to death by the metro circuit.

Hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Eastern. Admission is free, parking in the legion lot is free, and kids attend free. The room is unhurried and unpretentious, which makes it one of the easier shows in central Indiana to attend for the first time.

American Legion Post 230 is at 701 East Morgan Street, Martinsville, IN 46151, on State Road 252 just off State Road 37 — roughly forty minutes from downtown Indianapolis, thirty from Greenwood and thirty from Bloomington. The hall is single-level and air-conditioned with a free, easy lot right outside. Morgan Street has several local restaurants, and there are three card and comic shops within a few blocks of the venue, which makes a Sunday trip down worth building a half-day around rather than treating as a single stop.

The show is built for vintage hunters, set builders and bargain diggers. If your idea of a good Sunday is two hours in a commons box rather than ten minutes at a display case, this is your room. It is also one of the better selling venues in the region — dealers actively buy, and the local base is accustomed to bringing collections through the door.

To make the drive pay, arrive at 9:00 AM before the Indianapolis contingent shows up around ten. Bring cash, and bring more than you plan to spend — this is the kind of show where an unexpected vintage lot appears and there is no ATM in the building. Carry penny sleeves, top loaders, a carrying box and a want list. Ask dealers what is still in the car or unpriced under the table, because a lot of material here never makes it onto display. Contact Tom at 812-369-0824 or Chuck at 317-902-1559 for table information.
