The halls are flat, accessible and air conditioned, with permanent restrooms and concessions. From Long Beach the drive is roughly fifty minutes on the 605 and 60, longer in weekday afternoon traffic, so the Saturday or Sunday sessions are the practical choice for coastal collectors.
The Friday session tends to draw dealers and dedicated collectors, Saturday brings the families and the general public, and Sunday is the bargain day. Choose accordingly. If you are hunting a specific card and price is not the issue, go Friday. If you are bringing kids, go Saturday. If you are building volume on raw material, go Sunday afternoon.
Practical notes: bring cash, bring a want list, and bring supplies for anything raw you buy. In a hall this size the same card will appear at meaningfully different prices, so walk the entire floor before your first purchase, and take photos of the tables you want to return to. If you are selling or trading, Friday is your best window because dealers have the most buying budget left.
