Stadium Boulevard store open till 11PM Thursdays and Fridays, mixing Pokemon, Magic and Flesh and Blood singles with Warhammer and a drinks cooler.
The Upkeep Games' Ann Arbor branch on West Stadium Boulevard is the late-night option among the city's game stores. Thursday and Friday run to 11PM, the rest of the week to 9PM with a 10AM Saturday open, and the schedule reflects what the store is for: getting a game in after everything else has closed.
Product coverage is broad rather than specialized. Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Flesh and Blood and Lorcana singles and sealed sit alongside Warhammer 40k, Dungeons & Dragons, RPG lines, dice and board games. Used miniatures turn up at prices worth checking, which is not something most stores in the region offer. There is also a drinks cooler, and the play space is flexible enough that staff have been known to set up a folding table elsewhere in the store when the main area is booked for an event.
One honest caveat: the review record is split on the buy side. Several recent customers have reported trade-in and purchase offers coming in well below expectation, and others have flagged sealed pricing on hot Pokemon product running above what they consider reasonable. Get a quote before you drive across town with a collection, and know current market on anything sealed you plan to buy. On the retail and play side the feedback stays positive and consistent.
The store is part of a small Michigan chain, so preorders and allocation move between locations and it is worth asking rather than assuming something is out. Parking is a strip-mall lot on Stadium, and the space is compact but well used. For a mixed-hobby Ann Arbor card shop stop with the longest evening hours in town, this is the address.
