When CITY Cards N More opened its doors on July 3, 2026, it claimed a title no other store held: the first Pokemon-focused trading card shop inside St. Louis city limits. The Princeton Heights storefront at 5850 Hampton Avenue was covered by St. Louis Magazine and KSDK before the paint was dry, and the framing in both stories was the same — this is a shop built for families, not just hardened collectors.

That philosophy shows in the floor plan. The store is set up as a gathering space where kids can play, newcomers can learn the hobby, and collectors can trade, rather than a glass-case fortress. The Pokemon inventory runs from plush toys and sealed product to vintage and modern singles — the online store lists everything from Base Set 2 Blastoise to Scarlet & Violet 151 Charizard ex — so a visit can cost five dollars or five hundred depending on which case you stop at.

Pokemon leads, but the shop is genuinely multi-game. Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana, Riftbound, and Flesh and Blood all have shelf space, and the events calendar already runs about two dozen listings a month across Pokemon, Dragon Ball Fusion World, and One Piece. Hours are steady and family-friendly: noon to 8PM Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday. Weekday afternoons are quiet enough for a kid's first pack-opening; event nights bring out the competitive crowd.
