A multi-game Las Vegas TCG hub on S Eastern Ave with MTG, Pokemon and One Piece singles, an in-store ramen stand, and play until midnight on Fridays.
Stomping Grounds Game Store doesn't follow the usual card-shop formula. Its storefront on South Eastern Avenue, near the airport side of the valley, puts a ramen stand next to the counter. Players can grab a bowl between rounds, and first-time visitors tend to remember it.
The game list is long. Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon and the One Piece Card Game lead, with Disney Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, Flesh and Blood, Riftbound and Yu-Gi-Oh! close behind. The shelves also carry a number of smaller games such as Gundam, Digimon, Union Arena and Sorcery. Prices on sealed product and singles are known to undercut a lot of local competition. The store also stocks binders, sleeves, deck boxes, playmats and storage cases.
Organized play runs throughout the week, and MTG regulars treat the store as home base. The buy counter is busy too. Collectors have sold higher-end singles here and had the process go smoothly. Stomping Grounds also has a busy online store with preorders and in-store pickup, and a small satellite counter inside TK's on East Windmill Lane, a boba and pinball spot, serves pickups on the south end.
Pokemon collectors will find current-set booster bundles, elite trainer boxes and blisters, often at noticeably lower prices than market. The shop also takes preorders for upcoming sets well ahead of release, which is handy if you'd rather not chase product on launch day. Out-of-town visitors often hear about the store on social media and end up staying longer than they planned.
As a Las Vegas card shop, its biggest advantage for visitors is the hours. It's open 10AM to 10PM every day and stays open until midnight on Friday, so a convention attendee or tourist can usually fit in a visit after dinner on the Strip. The store is in Suite 140, a short drive east of the Strip.
