Monster Box
The Monster Box is the line's hobby-style format even though it sold at Walmart and on Topps.com: 20 packs of 5 cards with two autographs, priced $89.88-$99.99 at release. It is the only Platinum format with guaranteed hits, and 2023 Monster Boxes trade at $90-$150 sealed in August 2026, with 2022 boxes in the same range and 2020-2021 boxes at $80-$140. Because the box is large and the autographs are on foil-board rather than Chrome, it has never carried the premium of a Bowman Chrome box, but it is a reliable two-auto rip for the price.
Value Blaster
The blaster is 8 packs of 4 cards at $24.98 shelf price, with exclusive Ice Pattern Foil parallels found only in blasters and no autograph guarantee. Sealed 2023 blasters run $25-$45 and 2022 blasters $30-$50. Blasters are the format collectors buy for the exclusive Ice parallels, which is where most of the line's secondary-market value sits.
Value Pack

At $100 for two autographs and a run of foil parallels, the Monster Box was one of the better value rips in Bowman while it was on shelves, and it still is at $90-$150 for a 2022 or 2023 box if you want autographs of Holliday-era prospects without paying Chrome prices. The problem for investment is that Platinum autographs are foil-board, not Chrome, and the market discounts them accordingly; sealed Platinum has appreciated slowly and mostly in the blaster format, where the exclusive Ice parallels give it a reason to exist. The line's discontinuation after 2023 caps supply, but demand has stayed modest. Buy it to rip, or buy blasters from 2022 to hold, and do not expect Bowman Chrome-style returns.
How to spot fakes and resealed boxes
Monster Boxes are shrink-wrapped retail cartons without a hobby-style tamper seal, so the shrink is the only evidence; look for factory-tight wrap with a straight bottom seam and no lifted flaps, and be suspicious of any box with clean shrink but creased corners, which usually means it was rewrapped. Blasters are the most commonly resealed Platinum format because the autograph packs are thicker and easy to find by feel, and Walmart-exclusive product was searched on shelves for years, so a blaster with loose wrap or an opened flap is a pass. Loose value packs are the worst risk and should only be bought from a seller you trust. Autographs in Platinum are on foil-board, which makes pack weighing more reliable for searchers than it is on Chrome products, another reason to buy sealed boxes rather than packs.
