Draft Booster Box with Box Toppers

Twenty-four Draft Boosters of 15 cards, plus two box topper cards included with the box. Each pack contains two rares or mythic rares rather than one, and two traditional foils rather than one, which is what makes 2XM packs feel materially different from a normal Masters pack. The two box toppers are non-foil borderless versions drawn from a pool of 40 cards numbered 333 to 372, and their spread is wide: Mana Crypt and Force of Will box toppers are worth a large fraction of a box on their own, while the weakest few are worth under $20.

Packs launched around $14 and boxes around $330 to $350 at street prices. In September 2026 sealed boxes sell for $800 to $1,100, with a market price near $860 and Card Kingdom asking $1,099.99. That is the largest sustained sealed gain of any in-universe Magic product of the last decade.

VIP Edition

A single premium pack containing 33 cards: two foil borderless box topper cards, two foil rares or a foil rare and a foil mythic, eight foil uncommons, nine foil commons, plus full-art foil basic lands and tokens. VIP Edition launched around $100 and now trades at $150 to $260, with Card Kingdom asking $249.99. It is the only place foil box toppers appear, which is why the foil borderless versions of the top cards carry such a premium.

Booster Pack

Single 2XM packs run $40 to $50 against a roughly $14 release price. Two rares and two foils per pack is a real product, but at $45 you are paying near the expected value of the pack before any luck.

Booster Case

A Double Masters case is four booster boxes, each with its own pair of box toppers. Cases now trade in the $3,500 to $3,800 range and are the only version of this product where the box toppers are beyond suspicion.

Chase cards and Booster Fun treatments

Mana Crypt is the card that carries 2XM. Doubling Season, Force of Will, Jace the Mind Sculptor, Chrome Mox, Cyclonic Rift, Blightsteel Colossus and Wurmcoil Engine make up the rest of the high end, and the set also delivered a large number of Commander staples in foil for the first time.

The treatment story is simple by 2026 standards. There are 40 borderless cards, and they exist in two forms: non-foil as box toppers in booster boxes, and foil only through the VIP Edition. There are no serialized cards, no extended art, no showcase frames and no bonus sheet. That simplicity is part of why the box has held value; the desirable versions are genuinely scarce and there is no third or fourth printing of them within the same set.

Is Double Masters worth buying sealed?

Of everything on this list, 2XM has the best realised track record. A box that cost roughly $340 at release sells for roughly $860 now. The set was printed for a limited window in 2020, has never been reprinted in its original form, and the borderless box toppers cannot be obtained any other way. Mana Crypt's own trajectory - including its Commander ban in 2024, which cut but did not erase its price - has mattered less than the set's scarcity.

The caution is that you are buying at the top of that move, not the bottom. Expected value on 24 packs plus two box toppers is well under $860; a typical box loses money against singles, and only a strong box topper pair rescues it. Double Masters 2022 exists and reprinted several of the same cards, which is a reminder that Wizards will revisit this design whenever it likes. If you want the exposure, a sealed box from a case is a reasonable long hold with a genuine cap behind it. If you want the cards, the singles have never been cheaper relative to the box.

How to spot fakes, resealed and mapped boxes

The two box toppers are the vulnerability. They ship loose inside the box rather than in individually sealed packs on most printings, which means an opened box can be stripped of its toppers and rewrapped far more easily than an Ultimate Masters box. Examine the outer shrink for a single clean factory seam, even tension across all faces, and no adhesive residue or tackiness at the flaps. Any box where the seller volunteers what the toppers are, or shows them in a photo, should be treated as opened.

Loose 2XM packs are weighable and the two-foil configuration makes weighing informative, so avoid buying packs in quantity from sellers you cannot verify. Counterfeit boxes of expensive Magic sets circulate; check print sharpness on the box art, the set symbol and the collector text on the bottom panel. At current prices the extra cost of buying from a sealed case or a shop with a sealed-product record is cheap insurance.

Stores that sat on 2XM in 2020 sometimes still price it well below the online market, and a shop is the only place you can inspect the shrink and the topper compartment yourself, so start with the card shop directory.
