Play Booster Box

Thirty Play Boosters of 14 cards at a $5.49 MSRP per pack, $164.70 at list. Real pricing is well below that: boxes sell for $115-$145 and are widely available near $120-$130. Wizards raised Play Booster list pricing for 2026 sets, and the market has not followed, which is why a brand new premier set is one of the cheapest draft boxes available. Fable frame showcase cards appear in Play Boosters as well as Collector Boosters, so the Play box is not shut out of the set's good treatments.

Collector Booster Box

Twelve Collector Boosters of 15 cards at a $26.99 MSRP per pack, $323.88 at list. These trade above MSRP at roughly $400-$500, with retail listings clustering near $450-$475. The serialized Bitterbloom Bearer, the fracture foil Japan Showcase cards and the premium reversible shock land printings are all Collector-only, and the set being in print has not pulled the price back.

Bundle

Nine Play Boosters, a foil promo, basic lands from the Lorwyn and Shadowmoor full-art cycles, a spindown and a storage box at a $57.99 MSRP. It sells at $55-$85. With Play boxes near $125, the Bundle is poor value per pack and is best bought for the lands and the box.

Commander Decks

Two decks at a $49.99 MSRP each: Dance of the Elements, a five-color elemental deck, and Blight Curse, a Jund deck built around the new blight mechanic and its -1/-1 counters. Each is a 100-card deck with a foil face commander, a Collector Booster Sample Pack, tokens and a deck box. Sealed they run $45-$75, and Dance of the Elements holds the premium.

Draft Night

Twelve Play Boosters, one Collector Booster, basic lands and tokens in a single box at an $89.99 MSRP, designed to run a small draft pod without buying a full box. It sells for $85-$105. For a group of four it is a tidy product; for a group of eight a Play box is cheaper per pack.

60-Card Theme Decks

Two Standard-legal theme decks at a $23.99 MSRP: Pirates in blue-red and Angels in green-white. These are aimed at newer players who want a deck that works out of the wrapper, and they discount heavily, often to $11-$25.

Prerelease Pack

Six Play Boosters, a year-stamped foil rare or mythic, spindown and deck box, at $30-$45.

Booster Case

Six boxes per case for both configurations. For Collector product in a set with a 500-copy serialized card, case-fresh is the right default.

Chase cards and Booster Fun treatments

The serialized card is Bitterbloom Bearer, printed borderless in double rainbow foil with Rebecca Guay artwork, limited to 500 individually numbered copies, appearing in under one percent of Collector Boosters and always in English. Copies have changed hands well into four figures and the card is the single reason most people buy an ECL Collector box.

The treatment with the broadest appeal is the reversible shock lands: double-sided cards showing the Lorwyn face on one side and the Shadowmoor face on the other. They are the most talked-about thing in the set and they carry a modest premium over the regular printings. Alongside those sit 50 fable frame showcase cards in a storybook border, ten Japan Showcase cards with a rare fracture foil version that adds a large premium, borderless rares and mythics illustrated by artists associated with the original Lorwyn block, twenty woodcut-style Special Guests reprints, and full-art basics for both halves of the plane.

Regular singles are led by Bitterbloom Bearer itself, Chronicle of Victory, Wistfulness and Moonshadow, all in the high teens to low twenties, with Painter's Servant the most valuable Special Guests reprint. As always, Wizards publishes Collector Booster slot contents rather than per-card pull rates, so ignore any listing quoting specific odds.

Is Lorwyn Eclipsed worth buying sealed?

The Play Booster box is a straightforward good buy at $125, with the emphasis on buy-to-open. You are paying roughly 75 percent of list for a well-liked draft format that stays Standard legal until 2029, which is three more years of relevance than the 2024 sets have left. That is real utility. It is not appreciation: the set is in print, Wizards will keep printing while demand holds, and box expected value in singles sits below box price the way it does for every in-universe Standard set.

The Collector box at $450 is a harder sell. You are paying a 40 percent premium over MSRP for access to a 500-copy serialized card and a fracture foil cycle, and the median box returns nowhere near that. The reversible shock lands are the set's most durable value and they are not Collector-exclusive, which weakens the case further. If you want the shock lands, buy them; if you want a serialized Bitterbloom Bearer, buying the card outright is a known price rather than a lottery.

The one thing that could change this picture is print run. Lorwyn Eclipsed is still in print in September 2026; once it stops, the Collector box has more room to move, as Bloomburrow's did. That is a reason to watch, not a reason to buy today.

How to spot fakes, resealed and mapped boxes

A 500-copy serialized card in a Collector box is the classic resealing setup, and ECL is recent enough that plenty of boxes are in circulation. Check that the shrink is tight at every corner, that the factory seam is straight and continuous, and that neither end flap shows adhesive haze, lifted glue or knife scoring. A box that rattles or shifts audibly has been opened.

Loose Collector Boosters are where the real risk sits. Weighed and mapped packs circulate for any set with a numbered chase card, and fracture foil cards are physically distinguishable enough to make sorting worthwhile. Buy Collector product from a shop pulling boxes out of a sealed case, and for an in-print set that is easy to arrange. Counterfeit sealed boxes are less common for current product but not unknown, so compare the box art print quality and collector panel against a retail photograph if you are buying remotely.
