Hobby Box
A hobby box is 1 pack of 2 cards. One is a guaranteed autograph; the other is a base card, parallel, insert or relic. Both come slabbed in a one-touch magnetic holder, which is a large part of the appeal for buyers who want a premium card that arrives ready to display. Panini listed the 2024-25 hobby box at $1,049.95 and the 2023-24 box at $899.95, both far above secondary levels.
FOTL (First Off The Line)
FOTL boxes sell direct from Panini about a week before wide release and swap the standard contents for exclusives. The 2024-25 FOTL guaranteed one FOTL autograph numbered /15 or less plus either a short-print insert, a FOTL parallel numbered /7 or less, or a FOTL relic numbered /10 or less. The 2023-24 FOTL used a similar structure with an exclusive autograph parallel numbered /15 or /3 and an exclusive base parallel numbered /7. FOTL boxes carry a real premium and appear far less often than hobby.
Hobby Case
A One and One case is 10 boxes, the largest case in Panini's high-end basketball lineup. That is 20 cards and 10 guaranteed autographs per case, which is why the product is a staple of case breaks. Cases usually price at a modest discount to ten times the current box price.

One and One trades more often than the rest of Panini's high-end basketball, so the bands above are reasonably reliable, but individual sales still land outside them regularly. The 2023-24 season is the one collectors chase, on the strength of the Wembanyama autograph checklist. The 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons have held up better than their release prices would suggest, largely because the product printed in small quantities in those years.
Chase cards, parallels and hit rates
Because the box guarantees an autograph rather than a rookie autograph, the swing between a great box and a dead one is enormous. The core autograph sets across the run include One and One Signatures, Rookie Signatures, Timeless Treasures Signatures and the ink-heavy Dual and Triple Signature cards, with parallels running through numbered colours down to 1/1. Recent seasons added Shock and Hyper parallels on the base side plus die-cut insert families for the second card.
The realistic outcome for a single box is a rookie or veteran autograph from outside the top of the class, which is why boxes trade so far under distributor list. The upside is a low-numbered rookie signature or a marquee legend. Panini publishes odds on the pack; no one should be quoting a rate for a specific rookie's autograph.
Is Panini One and One worth buying sealed?
At current secondary prices, One and One is one of the more rational high-end rips in basketball simply because the entry cost is a few hundred dollars rather than a few thousand. The expected value of one autograph and one filler card is still below the box price in most seasons, but the loss when a box goes badly is survivable. As a sealed hold, the 2023-24 boxes have the clearest story and 2024-25 has the closed-licence argument, though 2024-25 is also the most heavily distributed season in the run. Be aware that ten-box cases mean supply is deeper here than in National Treasures or Flawless, so scarcity arguments carry less weight.
How to spot fakes and resealed boxes
With two cards in the box, resealing is the main risk and the economics favour a seller who searches. Look for tight factory shrink with a clean seam, no adhesive residue and no give at the flap when the box is squeezed in photos. Because both cards ship in magnetic holders, a searched box often shows a slight bulge or loose rattle that a legitimate box does not. Confirm the box art matches the season and format, since FOTL is branded on the box itself and is frequently misdescribed in listings. Buy from shops or sellers with sealed-box feedback, and treat any single box priced well under the recorded range for that season as a warning rather than a bargain.

Shops that run case breaks usually have single boxes left over and will sell them at reasonable prices, so the card shop directory is a good first stop.
