Why this year is priced the way it is

National Treasures sells on one card: the Rookie Patch Autograph. In 2025 that chase runs through Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty, Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, Tetairoa McMillan and Matthew Golden at the top, with Omarion Hampton, Tyler Shough and Jalen Milroe further down the checklist. A class with a first-overall quarterback and a two-way player like Hunter gives the box more than one way to pay off, which is why sealed 2025 boxes have held above their release price while plenty of high-end football from the same winter has not.

The rookie patch autographs come in several sets. Besides the main Rookie Patch Autograph run, a Crossover Rookie Patch Autograph set is numbered to 99, with a Holo Silver version numbered to 25. Above those sit the booklets, such as the Rookie Jumbo Prime Signature Booklets, and the single-copy shield cards.

The rest of the hit pool

  • NFL Shields: a 70-card memorabilia set in which every card is a 1/1, plus a 30-card dual version, also 1/1.
  • Laundry Tag parallels: scattered through the rookie memorabilia and signature booklets, numbered in single digits or 1/1.
  • Autograph inserts: Gladiators (numbered to 50), Colossal Signatures, Canton Calligraphy, Super Bowl Immortality Signatures and Material Treasures Signatures, more than 30 signature sets in all.
  • Memorabilia: Century Materials (numbered to 99), Colossal Materials and Framed Fabric (both numbered to 49), and Rookie Dual Materials.
  • Base parallels: eleven of them, ending in a Platinum 1/1 and printing plates.

National Treasures or National Treasures Collegiate?

This is the expensive mistake with 2025 boxes. Panini also released a 2025 National Treasures Collegiate Football box with the same rookies in college uniforms. It looks similar and sells for much less, and eBay search lumps the two together. When we checked on October 6, 2026, factory-sealed Collegiate boxes were listed at $1,749 to $2,039, while the NFL boxes on this page were listed at $3,090 to $3,165. A listing at a Collegiate price that does not say "Collegiate" anywhere should get a question before an offer: ask for a photo of the box front, where the word appears.

Sealed price, October 2026

ItemListed (Oct 6, 2026)
2025 NT Football hobby box$3,090-$3,165 (fixed price)
2025 NT Collegiate hobby box (different product)$1,749-$2,039
Release price, hobby boxAbout $2,250

Two fixed-price listings is a thin market, so read the range as asking prices rather than sales. The figure that matters is where boxes settle once offers come in, and a best-offer listing in this range usually gives some room.

Because a case is only four boxes, buying a case does not guarantee any particular tier of card the way it does in products with 12 or 20 boxes per case. Most buyers who want more than one shot end up in a group break, splitting a case by team. That makes sense when you care about one franchise's rookie, such as the Jaguars for Hunter or the Raiders for Jeanty, and much less when you are chasing the box's overall value.

Rip it or hold it?

With one pack and eight cards, the outcome depends almost entirely on which name lands on the patch autograph. A Hunter or Ward RPA can pay for the box several times over, while a box of veteran memorabilia returns a fraction of it. If you want one specific player, buying that card graded is cheaper than chasing it in packs. As a sealed hold, the case for this box rests on its position at the end of Panini's NFL run: no licensed National Treasures will be added after it, because Topps took the NFL license on April 1, 2026.

Buying a sealed box safely

A National Treasures box is a heavy display case with a single thick pack inside, and the value is concentrated enough that a box searched by feel and resealed is a real risk. Look for factory shrink that is tight at the corners, with no second layer and no heat-gun puckering at the seams. Be wary of any listing that offers "pack only" or shows the box without its shrink. Buying from a shop that received the box from its distributor removes most of that risk. The card shop directory lists high-end hobby stores near you, and these eBay searches separate the NFL box from the Collegiate one:

Frequently asked questions

What is in a 2025 Panini National Treasures Football hobby box?

One pack of eight cards. Nearly all of them are autographs or memorabilia cards, with a base or insert card and a parallel making up the rest. Distributor descriptions disagree on whether six or eight of the cards are hits.

When did 2025 National Treasures Football come out?

February 18, 2026, about six weeks before Panini's NFL license ended on March 31, 2026.

How much is a 2025 National Treasures Football hobby box?

It sold for about $2,250 at release. On October 6, 2026, sealed NFL hobby boxes were listed at $3,090 to $3,165 on eBay. Collegiate boxes are a separate, cheaper product.

Who are the top rookies in 2025 National Treasures Football?

Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty, Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, Tetairoa McMillan and Matthew Golden lead the rookie patch autograph chase.

What is the difference between National Treasures and National Treasures Collegiate?

Collegiate shows the same rookies in college uniforms and is a separate, lower-priced product. Check that the box front does not say Collegiate before paying an NFL-box price.
