2024-25 Panini National Treasures Basketball Hobby Box: The Last Licensed Edition

Aug 2025from $3,200.001 sealed products

The 2024-25 Panini National Treasures Basketball hobby box, released August 15, 2025, was the final National Treasures made before Topps took over the NBA license that October. That ending is now part of its price. Each box is one pack of nine cards, eight of them hits. This page covers the configuration, the rookie class, the International version and what boxes ask today. Earlier seasons are in our National Treasures Basketball guide.

Nine cards, eight hits

A domestic hobby box is one pack of nine cards: four autographs, four memorabilia cards and one base card or base parallel. A case is four boxes. There is no filler. The base set itself is 100 cards, every one numbered to 75, with parallels in:

  • Royal (/25)
  • Pink (/15)
  • Gold (/10)
  • Emerald (/5)
  • Amethyst (/3)
  • Platinum (1/1)

The hobby-only chases

The cards that decide whether a box pays are hobby exclusives:

  • Rookie Patch Autographs: the defining card of the product, and the first thing buyers ask about after a break.
  • Logoman Autographs: the NBA logo patch from a player's jersey with his signature. A Victor Wembanyama Logoman 1/1 was among the first big pulls from this release.
  • Treasured Tags, Retro Patch and Hometown Heroes: autograph sets built around tags and team patches, the next tier down.

The Rookie Patch Autographs are numbered to 99, with parallels stepping down through Orange (/75), Bronze (/49), Pink (/25), Gold (/10), Emerald (/5) and Black (/3) to a Logoman 1/1. Logomen appear in more than one form:

  • a Colossal Logoman set in which each of 185 players is a 1/1;
  • Rookie Logoman cards numbered to 5;
  • a Treasured Tag Logoman set, all 1/1.

The booklets sit at the top of the hit list: Rookie First Edition Signatures (/49), Rookie Jumbo Jersey Number Signatures (/23), and Treasures Autographs booklets numbered to 3. A box with any booklet in it has usually paid for itself.

The ninth card, the base or base parallel, matters more than it does in most products. Every base card is numbered to 75, so even the "filler" card is a numbered card of a star, and a low parallel of a top veteran can be worth more than a mid-tier memorabilia hit. Check the back of that card before you put it aside.

The 2024 rookie class

The 2024 draft class lacked a single runaway prospect, and that is visible in the box price. The patch autograph chase includes:

  • Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr, the first two picks;
  • Reed Sheppard and Stephon Castle;
  • Jared McCain, Dalton Knecht and Zach Edey;
  • Donovan Clingan and Tidjane Salaun.

Their RPAs sell well, but none carries a box the way a Wembanyama did the year before. The case for the box leans on veteran Logomen and on the edition's place as the last of the licensed run.

Domestic or International?

Panini also sold an International version of this release with fewer cards per box and its own International checklist. It costs much less than a domestic box and is easy to buy by mistake from a listing titled only "2024-25 National Treasures Basketball Hobby Box". On October 6, 2026, an International single box was listed at $2,250 and an International four-box case at $5,658.95. If the price looks too good for a domestic box, check for the word "International" on the box.

Prices, October 2026

ItemListed on eBay, Oct 6, 2026
Domestic hobby box$3,200-$4,495, one outlier at $6,449.61
International hobby box$2,250
International 4-box case$5,658.95

With four or five domestic listings at any time, the range is mostly a spread of asking prices. Best-offer listings toward the bottom of it are where real deals happen.

Why hold one sealed

National Treasures basketball ran under the NBA and NBPA license from 2009-10 to 2024-25. With Topps holding the license now, no further licensed edition can be added, and that fixed supply supports boxes that stay sealed. The risk runs the other way for anyone ripping: one pack and nine cards make expected value lopsided, and a box with a mid-round RPA and four veteran relics returns well under its price.

Buying safely

At this price, buy a box with intact factory shrink from a seller with a long record, or from a shop that ordered it directly. A box opened and resealed after the pack has been weighed or felt is the main risk. Loose or doubled wrap, a lid that sits unevenly, or a seller who will not show the bottom seam are reasons to pass. Several high-end shops take special orders for boxes like this; find one near you. Online, two searches cover both versions:
