Charmander Elite Trainer Box
The retail ETB features Charmander and includes nine packs, a full-art Charmander promo, sleeves, dice and accessories at a $49.99 MSRP. Because the box art and promo tie directly into the Charizard theme, it is one of the most collected SV ETBs and trades at $240–$300 sealed, a much bigger multiple of retail than most main-set ETBs manage.
Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box
The Pokémon Center version bumps the pack count to 11 and adds exclusive energy cards. It has become a scarce item and sells for $600–$750 sealed, which is roughly double the retail ETB. How to spot fakes and resealed products
Obsidian Flames is a frequent resealing target because Charizard-set packs are worth weighing. Real boxes have a horizontal shrink seam on the back, matte film with vent holes, and packs stacked in four rows of nine. A rewrapped box often has a seam running the wrong direction or film that wraps tightly around the box corners without vents. On packs, look for evenly ribbed crimps; a pack that has been opened and glued will often have a flat or wavy section at the bottom crimp. Confirm the code card is present in any opened pack. Charmander ETBs are also faked outright, with the counterfeit versions using slightly washed-out box art and a promo card without the proper texture.
