Paldea Evolved Sealed Products: Prices, Chase Cards & Where to Buy

Jun 2023SV02from $700.004 sealed products

Paldea Evolved is the second Scarlet & Violet set, released in June 2023, and it has quietly become the most expensive main-set booster box of the early SV era. That is almost entirely down to one card, the Iono Special Illustration Rare, plus a deep secret rare list of 86 cards that made the set popular to open. If you are pricing a Paldea Evolved booster box or ETB in August 2026, this page walks through every sealed product, the chase cards and how to avoid the resealed boxes that follow any set once it crosses $400.

Sealed products for Paldea Evolved

Booster Box

The 36-pack box launched at $143.64 and was easy to find at retail through summer 2023. It now sells for $420–$500 sealed, which puts it above Obsidian Flames and well above the SV base set. The price has climbed steadily since 2025 as Iono singles rose and unopened supply thinned. This is the product to buy if you want packs in quantity or a long-term sealed hold.

Elite Trainer Box

The retail ETB features the three Paldea starter evolutions and includes nine packs, a full-art promo, 65 sleeves, dice, markers and a storage box. MSRP was $49.99. Sealed ETBs currently trade at $190–$240, one of the higher ETB prices for a main SV set, and the per-pack cost is steep compared with the box.

Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box

The Pokémon Center edition adds two extra packs (11 total) and exclusive foil energy. It has become a genuine collector item, selling for $500–$650 sealed, and is scarce enough that most listings are from dedicated sealed dealers rather than casual sellers. Photograph the Pokémon Center logo and the sealed wrap before committing at that price.

Booster Bundle

Six packs for $26.94 at retail; sealed bundles run $105–$135 in mid-2026. Bundles are the smallest sealed unit that still offers a reasonable per-pack cost, and they are easier to store and ship than a box.

Build & Battle Box and Build & Battle Stadium

The prerelease Build & Battle Box (four packs, a 40-card deck and one of four stamped promos) sells for $50–$70. The Build & Battle Stadium, with two kits plus supplies, is uncommon and typically lists at $110–$150. Both are popular with players who want a reason to open packs, not serious investment pieces.

Blisters and Sleeved Boosters

Three-pack blisters with a promo trade at $45–$65 and single-pack blisters at $14–$20. Loose sleeved boosters sit around $13–$18 each. These are mainly bought to open, so pay attention to the pack condition notes below.

Chase cards and pull rates

Iono SIR (269/193) is the card that defines this set. It has traded between $250 and $400 raw through most of 2026 and much higher graded, making it the most valuable trainer card in the SV era. Chien-Pao ex SIR (261/193) sits around $70–$110, helped by its competitive history, and Meowscarada ex SIR (256/193) runs $60–$90. The Skeledirge ex and Quaquaval ex SIRs, Tyranitar ex SIR and the full-art Boss's Orders fill out the $25–$60 tier. Gold hyper rares are plentiful in this set and mostly fall below the SIRs.

Community-reported pull rates put SIRs at roughly one per 100 packs, so a booster box usually has one or none, and Iono specifically is a fraction of those SIR hits. Illustration Rares are far more common, and a box will normally return several of them.

Is Paldea Evolved worth buying sealed?

At $420–$500 for a box, the per-pack cost is about $12–$14, and Iono is the only card that meaningfully moves the expected value. Opening a box at this price is a gamble that only pays off if you hit the Iono. As a sealed hold the picture is better: the set is out of print, it has a widely wanted headline card, and it has already shown it can appreciate without a Charizard on the checklist. The counterargument is that the price has already run up substantially, so buyers in 2026 are paying for growth that has partly happened. Consider it a mid-risk hold and be wary of paying above the range for boxes with damaged wrap.

How to spot fakes and resealed products

Paldea Evolved has been targeted by resealers since its price crossed $300. Genuine boxes have a matte-finish shrink with one horizontal seam on the back and a small vent hole pattern; a shiny, tight, vent-free wrap is the most common giveaway of a rewrapped box. Inside, the packs should be arranged in four rows of nine with the art alternating in a consistent orientation. Every real pack contains a code card, and the pack crimps should be evenly ribbed with no flattened sections. For Pokémon Center ETBs, the exclusive energy pack should be visible in the top layer of the box; counterfeit "PC" ETBs that are just retail boxes in a different sleeve have circulated.

Where to buy Paldea Evolved sealed

Local shops that ordered heavily in 2023 are still the best source for boxes below eBay pricing, so check the card shop directory and ask about back stock. Card shows are worth a visit for ETBs and bundles, where you can inspect the wrap in person. Online, these searches keep the results clean:

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Paldea Evolved booster box?

Yes. Paldea Evolved is a main set with a standard 36-pack booster box, and it is the best per-pack value among its sealed products.

How much is a Paldea Evolved booster box worth in 2026?

Sealed boxes trade at $420–$500 as of August 2026, with TCGplayer listings near the top of that range.

Why is Paldea Evolved so expensive?

The Iono Special Illustration Rare (269/193), which trades for $250–$400 raw, drives most of the demand, along with a large secret rare list and the set being out of print.

How much is a Paldea Evolved ETB worth?

Retail ETBs sell for $190–$240 sealed, and Pokémon Center ETBs for $500–$650.

What are the pull rates for Paldea Evolved SIRs?

Commonly reported figures put Special Illustration Rares at roughly one per 100 packs, so a single box should not be assumed to contain one.

Will Paldea Evolved be reprinted?

No reprint has been announced. The set has been out of the print schedule since 2024, though main sets do occasionally get reprinted, so it is a risk to keep in mind.
