901 Games

Midtown Memphis game store on Broad Avenue open until 10PM nightly, with fair MTG trade values, preconstructed-deck tournaments and a patient crew for beginners.

901 Games sits on Broad Avenue in the 38112 stretch of Memphis, the arts-and-small-business corridor that has turned into a pocket for independent shops. It's a game store first and a card shop second, but the card side is strong enough that reviewers rank it as the best game store in the area. The doors open at noon Monday through Friday, at 10AM on Saturdays, and stay open until 10PM every night, a real advantage if you work during the day.

Magic: The Gathering is the center of the card business. One new player credits an employee named Archer with answering a stream of questions and hosting a preconstructed-deck tournament that eased them into the game, while another reviewer says the owner, Zack, knows everything he stocks and offers the fairest trade values in the city. For anyone searching for MTG in Memphis or a place to sell a stack of singles, that reputation for fair buy-and-trade pricing is the draw.

The shop also sells used board games, with visitors on vacation describing helpful employees who steered them to a good game for a low price. Families praise the owner's patience with kids, and the general mood is welcoming to people who are new to tabletop hobbies.

Not every visit is perfect: one customer reported a rude interaction with a staff member in April 2026, so it's worth being direct about what you want and asking for management if something feels off. Most reviews, however, describe warm and knowledgeable service. Call 901-305-6114 or visit the shop's online storefront before you go if you're after a specific booster box or single. Weeknight evenings are a good time for tournament-style play.
