Game Grid Layton

Main Street game store in Layton with TCG singles and sealed for Lorcana, Star Wars: Unlimited and Riftbound, plus prereleases, board games and Warhammer.

Game Grid Layton is the Davis County outpost of a Utah game store chain, tucked into a small storefront on North Main Street near downtown Layton. It is a hole-in-the-wall space in the best sense: shelves packed with board games, a counter of card product, and tables for organized play.

Card games anchor the event calendar. The store carries sealed product and singles across several TCGs, including Disney Lorcana, Star Wars: Unlimited, Riftbound and Magic: The Gathering, and it runs prerelease events and preorders for new sets. For trading cards in Layton beyond the Pokemon mainstream, it is a useful stop.

The board game wall is one of the best in the area, stocked with modern hits like Wingspan, Dune Imperium and Splendor Duel along with party games and family staples. Warhammer, WizKids miniatures, Dungeons & Dragons supplies, paints and dice cover the hobby side.

If you are traveling in for a competitive event, it is worth confirming the format and prize structure with the store beforehand.

Because it carries so many newer card games, the shop is a good place to try something outside the big three. Star Wars: Unlimited and Riftbound both have dedicated space on the shelves and the event calendar, and prerelease nights are a natural way to jump into a new set alongside other first-timers. The staff tend to be hands-on and knowledgeable about what is in stock,. A newsletter on the store website shares sales and event news.

Hours are noon to 8PM Monday through Thursday, noon to 10PM on Friday and Saturday, and closed on Sunday. Find it at 26 N Main St, Suite B, a short drive from the Layton FrontRunner station.
