Newer Mesa TCG storefront at Baseline and Higley — release-day sealed for Riftbound, Pokemon, MTG and One Piece with a trade-in credit boost.
Hyperion Games opened in early 2025 in the Baseline-and-Higley plaza, and in its first year it has carved out a reputation as the east-Mesa stop for fresh sealed product. The shop is small but well-lit, with a clean retail counter, glass cases for chase singles, and four play tables tucked along the side wall.
Owner-operated, Hyperion leans into the newer TCG lines harder than most Mesa shops. Riftbound, One Piece, and Union Arena sit alongside the usual Pokemon, Magic, and Yu-Gi-Oh sealed — and the team consistently has product on or near release day rather than a week late. Pricing on sealed Pokemon and One Piece tends to track MSRP, which is a refreshing departure from the scalp-heavy market.
The trade-in program is the differentiator. Bring singles in and the shop offers a noticeably higher percentage if you take store credit instead of cash — useful if you are flipping bulk into chase cards. Buylist prices on Pokemon singles in particular are competitive with online vendors.
Hours run mid-day into the evening seven days a week. Casual play and pickup MTG games happen most afternoons, and the owner is usually behind the counter ready to grade a card or talk a new player through their first deck.
