Polyhedron is a north Oracle Road game store for Tucson Magic players, with Commander tables open into the late evening and a mix of board games and RPGs.
Polyhedron Gamestore is a late-hours game store on Tucson's north side, set along Oracle Road at 5825 N Oracle Rd. It is less a browse-and-go retail shop than a place to sit down and play, and its regulars treat it as their home table.
Magic: The Gathering, and Commander in particular, is the main card-game draw. Players with decks in hand can usually find a pod, and the store stocks MTG booster packs and accessories, with card trades happening at the counter as well. For anyone looking for a Commander game in Tucson on a weeknight, Polyhedron's late closing time is a real advantage.
Beyond cards, the store supports tabletop role-playing, with Shadowrun among the games run here, and it carries board games. Note that the shop charges a fee to use its play space, so ask about current table rates when you arrive.
A few buying tips: compare sealed-pack prices with current market values before you buy, inspect any traded or used cards carefully, and open shrink-wrapped used items at the counter to confirm the contents. These are good habits at any game store and especially useful when buying secondhand.
Polyhedron opens at 2PM and stays open late: 2PM-10PM Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and 2PM-11PM on Friday and Saturday. It is closed Monday and Tuesday. Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest for Commander. The store sits on a major north-side corridor with parking nearby and is a short drive from Tucson Mall.
